Well, this one flew under our radar here at Toyark. A slippage on the Playmates website revealed a couple days ago that there will be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012 exclusive – Shadow Leonardo. This figure will be for sale at the Nickelodeon Booth, and be around 20 dollars. Only Leo for right now.
Thanks to Pixel-Dan for doing the digging.

Seems to me like it's based on the character design for this. It is a LOT different, but it may be what they were going for.

Awesome
I think I like it. IMO, this is the perfect kind of convention exclusive. Something that's both special and unique, while being very nice to own.
Something I would want very much if I was there, but would not drive me crazy not being able to get one, not being able to go.
Having it would make me feel like I have a very special piece in my collection, but not being able to get it, neither would I feel there was a gaping hole that'll never be filled (Unlike the 4" Green Lantern twopack and the entire "scale that will be convention exclusive").
Not Diggin it.

That would drive me crazy. The MoE almost does and I don't even collect MU. (It's something that I would actually pick up if I found it in retail)
I Want it. Will it be available online after the con like Hasbro does
Meh. I'm torn.
I like the idea and the contrast (the colors themselves are sweeeeeet) but forced shadowing just doesn't work for me on 3d objects. You can do some light shading to bring out detail but taking a 3d object and using paint to say THIS PART IS IN SHADOW AND YOU CAN NEVER SEE IT NO MATTER WHAT LIGHTS YOU HAVE WHERE just doesn't work as an effect.
I still kinda like it, because the colors themselves are rad. But I feel like unless you put it in the back of a shelf and never move it, the effect will just look awkward.
Either way, I'd pass at $20. Hasbro made too many exclusives I need this year to even look at other offerings :P

Oh yeah! Legends! I'm so used to those not being around anymore.
The MoE appeals to me because I loved the original Thunderbolts.
lol I saw a preorder listing for this on eBay a few days ago and thought: "Is this news? Should I make a posting?...Nah, probably already is."
Doh!
