80’s Toy Smackdown Presented By Toyark and Big Bad Toy Store

Posted on April 9, 2012 at 3:03 pm by Joe Moore under Toyark Spotlight

Toyark is proud to present the 80’s Toy Smackdown. We are going to be running a massive series of polls where you, the fans, get to decide what your favorite toy line from the 80’s is. We’ve compiled a list of 48 of the best and most memorable (and some not so memorable) toy lines from the 1980’s. Various toy lines will go head-to-head bracket style each week. The winner moves on, the loser is out of the running. Once we get down to the final 3 toy lines, they will go head-to-head-to head to determine the winner. But, that’s not all. The event is being sponsored by Big Bad Toy Store and you can win $50 to spend at BBTS!

Starting today, and lasting until Sunday April 15th at midnight, simply Send Us A Massage UPDATE: Write In Voting Has Ended. In the title, just put in who you think will win it all. At the end of the 80’s Toy Smackdown polling, we will do a drawing with everyone who chose the winning toy line. The winner will get $50 in credit to Big Bad Toy Store!

Read on for more details and to check out the bracket to see who is facing off with each other!

The first round, which starts Monday April 16th, will last 12 weeks. Each week will will put up 2 polls at a time for the first 3 rounds. The semifinals will feat

Yup, the first round is set. Voting begins next Monday morning.

This week is for people to send us a message letting us know who they think will win. Once the winning toy line is crowned, we will enter all the winning guesses into a drawing and someone will win a $50 credit to BBTS.

Interesting, Star wars and TFs in the 1st round? Shouldn't they be in different brackets being that they are two of the biggest heavy hitters? Kinda like #1s in different brackets like the NCAA tourney.

That is a great list. I am surprised that Tron and Clash of the Titans made the list but Indiana Jones did not. The rest is just as I expected.
