Marvel Select Storm and Avengers Movie Hulk Images and Info

Posted on March 19, 2012 at 6:08 am by Joe Moore under Marvel Toy News

Art Asylum has posted some info and images for two upcoming Marvel Select figures. First up is Storm, who is part of the X-Men Danger Room Series. They also have a new pic of their upcoming Avengers Movie Hulk.

UPDATE:

Diamond has sent along a pic of Marvel Select Avengers Movie Hawkeye to accompany these images.

Click the headline of the story for a couple of images and some info.

Storm to Join DST’s Marvel Select X-Men Line in Late 2012
There’s a Storm coming! No, I’m not forecasting the weather, I’m telling you about the next figure in the 7-inch-scale Marvel Select line! Storm will be joining the ranks of the Danger Room X-Men series, which means her base will connect with those of Cyclops and Gambit. Sculpted by Sam Greenwell and painted by Jason Wires, look for her later in 2012, and be on the lookout for a rare variant featuring a more civilian hair style.

Ruffalo Smash! The New Marvel Select Hulk Figure is a Green-Blooded Avenger
The role of the Hulk has had more turnovers lately than Sara Lee. “¦Really? Who writes these jokes? Oh yeah, me. This time around, Bruce Banner will be played by Mark Ruffalo, and Gentle Giant and Jason Wires have created a figure for the Marvel Select line that features the Avengers movie character in his ‘annoyed’ state. And if you’ve collected our previous Hulk releases, you know that this thing really is a monster, one that will tower over your other Avengers.’

Meh... never liked this costume on Storm. Is she fighting mutant terrorists or slinking up and down a pole at a club? Wish someone would do her 80's mohawk/biker look that was awesome.

Looks like Diamond borrowed Hulk's hip joints from Mattel.

Wow! That Hulk actually looks like it has good articulation. Didn't expect that from Marvel Select.

Lol, it's his regular standing animation in Marvel vs Capcom 3. He moonwalks when you back up.

Here's my favorite: Level 3 super "4th Wall Crisis"

This makes no sense. They've done a hulk figure before and even the immensely popular movie Spiderman with the usual lack of articulation in the past.

They may be experimenting with better articulation in an attempt to gain additional collectors given the successful ML line.

Storm looks good, but I'm happy with the MU line. Plus I could never get into the Select line either.

Alright, might use that Hulk for my 4" Movie Avengers. Most detailed movie one I've seen yet.

That Hulk isn't bad, though his facial expression is kind of weird. I regret now not getting the red hulk which I think was exclusive at BBTS. I wonder if they still have it.....

They re-issued Red Hulk recently as a non-exclusive. I got mine for $20 like three months ago or so? He should be much easier to find now.
