Marvel Select Avengers Movie Hulk Releases In April

Posted on February 7, 2012 at 6:50 am by Joe Moore under Marvel Toy News

Art Asylum has updated with word about the upcoming Marvel Select Avengers Movie Hulk. The figure is scheduled for release this April. They have also updated on some other upcoming Avengers Movie Marvel Select figures.

This past weekend, Superbowl watchers were treated to the new Avengers trailer, showing off the heroes in action, including our first full look at the gargantuan Hulk. Well, the Marvel Select toy line has been making waves lately with its larger figures, which tower over other entries in the 7-inch-scale line, and last week they finally unveiled their movie version of the Hulk! Standing 8.25 inches tall, he stands a good inch taller than the rest of the movie-based Avengers DST has made, and features 16 points of articulation for a full range of smashing. He’s available for pre-order now from your local comic shop and from online retailers, as are Hawkeye and DST’s figure of one of the movie’s mystery foes! Here’s your Avengers checklist:

Captain America (WWII outfit): Available now

Thor (Thor movie outfit): Available now

Loki (Thor movie outfit): Available now

Hulk: Coming in April

Iron Man Mark VI (Iron Man 2 movie re-issue): Coming in April

Hawkeye: Coming in May

Mystery Foe: Coming in May

Marvel Select figures are sold at comic shops, specialty stores and most online toy retailers, so start collecting them all today!

Eh, compared to the 3.75" Hulk coming out in the regular Avengers line, I think he's a step up.

    Love the Minimates, though.

Assuming I'll be able to find it at the closest TRU to me, that Hakweye and Black Widow set is going to be tempting. Though I do think it's a little odd that Hawkeye doesn't appear to have a bow. Hopefully he'll come with one...

It's probably hidden in the packaging. Most Minimates come with more weapons/accessories than can be seen from the outside. For example, the Deadpool/Dante set has 4 guns and 3 swords. Only the two swords for Wade are visible through the package window; all the guns and Dante's sword are hidden.

Well, there's no hope of me getting a Black Widow, as my local UK TRU won't be stocking them.

    eBay, here I come.

He was up to Mark VI by the end of Iron Man 2. It was pretty trashed at that point, so he built a new one.

Mark I - Prototype that he built in the cave in IM 1.
Mark II - Test suit he built after he got home (IM 1). Also the basis for War Machine (IM 2).
Mark III - 1st battle suit (IM 1); used against Iron Monger.
Mark IV - New suit built after Iron Monger beat up the old one (IM 2).
Mark V - Suitcase armor used (and trashed by Whiplash) at the race track (IM 2).
Mark VI - 1st suit using the new Arc Reactor design (IM 2).

And War Machine does not count as the Mark VII, since Tony didn't make the modifications himself (that was done by the Air Force & Hammer Industries). If anything, it could be called the Mark IIa.

Why would they call it Mark VI and also, "Iron Man 2 movie re-issue"?....from what I remember, isnt the one they issued already Mark IV? Ive never seen a Mark VI from Marvel Select...
