Takl about the ultimate army-builder- even at $50-60, that's still an increible deal.

If only it was full of AIM and Hydra goons!

20 battle droids.......is this gonna be one of those 100 dollar sets?

  7. Tiberius's AvatarTiberiussays

    01-31-2012, 08:05 PM

100 if you are LUCKY. I see it being closer to 200.

Still, at $100, that's half price battle droids and a free vehicle to store them in!

200? crap thats millennium falcon territory.

I would love a Falcon...god damn it! LOL. Yea, I see this being 199.99 in the states probably.

I see these being collectibles one fine day- particularly if the droids are somehow unique to get them in there.

Maybe if you laquered it it would be closer to McFarlane's level of plastic sculpture.
    Man I am confused.

Posted that in the wrong damn thread as I'm painting a custom Iron Man 2020!
I edited it to reflect sanity.

This item is already in Target's computer system at $129.99. Less than the Falcon, more than all the other offerings. I also heard that not all the battle droids are articulated. So that 20 droids statement is decieving.

youre probably right. yu have to remember a single carded droid is now 10 bucks. 20 of those is 200 alone. theyll probably be like the iron man riders where they have like only a couple pieces of articulation and redesigned to fit the grapple mechanisms inside the transport. Does this thing remind you of a snail?

I was in Awe when Lego released this as a set.Now this will have to pick one up or two lol..I do believe only 4 of the droids are articulated and the rest are pre-posed.

Collectors will be lucky if those droids have any articulation at all.

It's not like Battle Droids require a lot of resources to make either. Very little plastic and paint. Remember a few years back Hasbro was putting 2 Battle Droids on one single card?

I stil see that two pack of red droids at Target occasionally.
The battle droid design was one of the biggest failures of the prequels- so laughably lame as it's downrghtt disapointing to see any Jedi go down fighting them in the second movie.

They should have used IG-88 droids- it would have been a nice ESB tie-in and at least those look badass fighting (see CW on this).
IG-88 type droids could still fold up like battle droids too- just have the head retract into the torso and the arms and legs compress like pistons.

This is like so cool, but like totally unnecessary IMO. LOL. Not too many people troop building droids I think. They should have made a fictional version for Troopers and I bet that thing would sell like crazy... everybody troop builds the Clone Troopers.
