First Pic Of Mattel’s Dark Knight Rises Toys

Posted on January 30, 2012 at 10:38 am by Joe Moore under DC Toy News

BatmanNews.de has revealed a scan showing some new toys. From the scan, we get shots of some of the Mattel Dark Knight Rises action figures and vehicles. Keep in mind these are scanned from a German source, but here are some of the things seen:

– Batman Quick-Tek Figures – Put Batman or Bane inside the box and they are instantly equipped with weapons and accessories.

– Batman Basic Figures – Batman and Bane color variants in the basic sized class.

– Bat Pod – Changes to armor mode with the press of a button.

– Batman Quick-Tek Vehicles with Figures – Changes from an armored tank into a jet with the press of a button.

– Giant Batman Figure – Articulated 10″ tall figure with expandable wings.

– Remote Control Batmobile – The camouflaged Tumbler as an RC vehicle.

– Remote Control Minirides – Miniature RC Batmobile and Bat Pod.

Click the thumbnail to check out the scan.

haven't heard the term mega cool in a while or super cool lol. These toys look like shit to me, the remote conrol bat-pod/bike is pretty cool, but unless it can pop a wheelie, shoot actual missles or work on the walls/ceiling I don't want it. The basic batman figure looks ok, but fuck me with the ugly repaints, IM,BATMAN AND SPIDERMAN, get the shaft of rediculous outfits and repaints/repackages.

The "quick-tek" figures sound and look far better than I was anticipating. Based off of the description we had previously gotten, I had assumed that the figures transformed into gadgets and weaponry. What they actually are is a rather nice surprise in comparison. Still, doubt I'll get any of them.

It's nice to know that they're still doing basic figures along side the gimmick ones. I might actually get a Batman and Bane from this line.

The batpod looks kinda cool, but is an easy pass for me. Though the "quick-tek" vehicles sound kind of interesting, and depending on the price, might be worth getting one.

10" tall Batman was inevitable. Actually looks like it might have some worth-while articulation. Nothing amazing, but it's nice to see at least a little articulation rather than none.

The RC's look nice, but are another easy pass for me. Bring on some Hot Wheels of the Bane tumbler and "the bat".

I'm kinda disappointed that the Movie Masters weren't represented in this. Would have been nice to get a glimpse at one of them to see if they're keeping them up to snuff. Hopefully the New York toy fair will give us a look a them and that C&C batsignal.

I was hoping to get a glimpse at Mattel's Catwoman. Oh well...gotta hole out just a bit longer.

And they tremendously sh&tyy GL figure liek articulation and t-crotches are still there im gonan bet. can we say PEG WARMERS? At least the new ghost rider movie was smart enough NOT to make toys.

I disagree, that thing looks really poorly made. I wonder how well toys based on a terrorist Batman villain will sell, considering this one wasn't really given the Movie Masters treatment? Adults want detail damnit!

The new Ghost Rider movie wasn't coming off of the second most successful movie of all time. Mattel would be blithering idiots not to try to capitalize on the current film with a toy line.

"Make stuff only from the movie?" LOL...you DO realize that that means there would be all of 3 action figures in the entire line then, right? (Batman, Bane, and Catwoman). Maybe as many as 12 if they do (you guessed it) variations from within the movie of each.

The Batman movie lines have to be padded with silly variants because there isn't enough stuff in the movie worth making kid-friendly action figures out of. It ain't Star Wars, and little kids aren't exactly foaming at the mouth to pick up Jim Gordon action figures, or "Gotham Policeman" toys.

Too bad, too, because I'd love a 4" Gordon that didn't suck.

I can't wait to get a Bane figure...I'll probably try to buy all the variants of him. Maybe we'll get a new Scarecrow figure too since he's going to be in the movie.

I honestly hope not. His story was given a nice ending to it in TDK, and I see no reason to continue it. At most I would be ok with a very short cameo, or reuse of BB scenes to help form connections to the past. Whether or not he is in the movie, the inclusion of Scarecrow toys is, imho, an inevitability for the toy-line. He makes for good filler, and they could come-up with more variants of him too. I also think Joker and Ra's figures are more than likely to be a part of the line too. *SPOILER*Though Ra's will be more than just filler.*SPOILER*
