Lego Modular sets were first introduced in 2007 with the release of the famous Cafe Corner set. Every year since then Lego has released a new Modular set in the same series, each new set being able to connect to the others to form a very nice and highly detailed street. These sets are large, heavy, have many pieces, and highlight some creative building techniques that aren’t found in the standard sets that can be purchased at Target or Toys R US.
The new set for 2012 was rumored to be a Town Hall set, and now we have images of that set thanks to a post from the Eurobricks community. No solid word on price or release date yet, but this is sure to be another hit with the AFOL (Adult Fans of Lego) community!

New 2012 Lego Modular Building - Town Hall Images
Images surfaced over at Eurobricks. Modulars are big and expensive but impressive as all hell. Will definitely add this one to the collection. People are rumoring it to be more expensive than the standard $150 that these usually go for.
Not seeing the pics. Went to the link and saw them, though.
Looks amazing, but way out of my price range.
Totally awesome! I have a ton of Legos from when I was a kid. I've always wanted to do something like this ever since I played Spiderman vs The Kingpin on Sega CD. Once I reclaim them from my moms barn I may spend a rainy day making building facades in 4 inch scale.
I really like the direction Lego is going with the new Dino hunter sets and Marvel & DC licenses. I still have the Bat Wing and 70's & 90's Batmobile I made 20 years ago.
I really want to put the Delorian at the bottom with a tiny lego Doc yelling about 1.21 Gigawatts!
That looks like an awesome set. I clicked on that link...those dudes are f'in SERIOUS about Legos.
Those "imgur" slides that have been popping up lately never work for me. I can't ever see the pictures in them. What's the deal with that?
