I received an early Christmas present today, and to my surprise, it was one of the new Super Heroes LEGO sets. It is set #6862 - Superman vs. Power Armor Lex, and below are a couple pictures to give you an idea of the quality that LEGO put into this set.

So let's get started.
Minifigures - Superman, Lex Luthor, and Wonder Woman.
Superman - This is a great figure and has all of the detail you'd expect from LEGO, including that goofy curl of hair. He is top notch.
Lex Luthor - Lex is pretty basic considering that his comic persona isn't exactly iconic except for his bald head, but still, I expected more. To me this just looks like another random LEGO person.
Wonder Woman - I assume they threw her into the set to spice it up and give it more bang for the buck, and I'm glad they did. Wonder Woman is a great little figure, and her pieces are all unique to her character. I even like the lasso.
The Power Armor (construction set) - The scale of it is perfect for LEGO and they really did a great job with the detail. The legs swivel, and can be adjusted front to back and side to side. Also, there was a lot of detail put into the design to make it feel like a Kryptonite death machine, and there is a chunk of Kryptonite placed in his gun. Plus, it was fun to build.
The bonus "comic" - This was the main let down for me. With the amount of detail going into this LEGO set I expected the comic to be a neat addition, but it wasn't. It is cheaply made and resembles the instruction booklet. In fact, I'd say it is nothing more than an advertisement for the other figures and sets coming out, with an occasional comic panel tossed in. Not cool LEGO.
I give this set an 8/10.
Wow, looks great. Can't wait to get my hands on some of these myself. With this and LOTR LEGO coming out, I'm going to be out many dollars indeed. I already own all the LEGO Kingdoms sets which will integrate nicely into both LOTR and a "time travel" chance meeting with Shining Knight for the LEGO DC sets.
Whoooa. That is surprisingly cool. Nice review.
Belongs in the review forum. Moved.
But thanks for the review, all the same. Doesn't sound half-bad.

So I tried to go to a TRU recently to check out the DC LEGO stuff and it was complete chaos all around. The location wasn't exactly prime considering that it was near a mall and a Best Buy, so I sat in some insane traffic just to get there, and once I arrived, all they had was that weird Joker construct (only one by the way) that isn't really cool IMHO. Plus, it was completely left by itself on a shelf that had nothing else on it, which I'm guessing was because some crazy soccer mom probably dropped it while trying to fist fight another scary woman for a LEGO police set. Irony. Anyway, did anyone else notice that Toys R Us didn't have a single GI Joe? I walked around my St. Louis store and realized that they either completely ran out of them, or they just didn't sell them at all. I asked an employee and she seemed confused about it too, but that is what the holidays do to you. We both walked over to the "GI Joe" sign, and below it were only Transformers, so I guess it is a stalemate.
I saw a couple of Renegades figures (Duke and CC) at my TRU last week, but nothing else.
Unfortunately, my TRU didn't have Superman or Lex. Only one they had was a single Hero Factory Green Lantern, who was hanging out with the Kre-O and Halo sets (checking on the competion, no doubt). I couldn't even find the shelf where he belonged, or even if there were any others (like Batman, maybe).
