Marvel Universe Iron Spider Variant

Posted on December 10, 2011 at 7:43 pm by Shin Densetsu under Marvel Toy News

Recently, an Iron Spider Variant from the Marvel Universe line has turned up on ebay via an auction by happyeverydaysales. This follows in the footsteps of its larger 6″ counterpart, which was released in the Spiderman line a few years ago.

Be on the lookout, as it may show up in revision cases soon! Take a closer look after the jump.

Does Iron Spider-Man have translucent variant? I have found this on ebay Marvel Univers Super Heros Spiderman 3/4 3.75" Loose Auction Figures DC-09 | eBay but never heard of it.

first ive ever seen of it, I know the 6 inch one from years back had a clear variant, if it was carded I would believe it but i think its just a custom or recast in clear plastic

Damn. Hasbro is killing me with all the variants... permitting that this is actually will be sold in stores. Still damn awesome.

They even have a BIN one. Looks cool. I hope we see it in a revision case. Thanks for the heads up. I'm always looking for good oversease sellers.

Looks like a sample that was dug out of the dumpster.

I would pass even if I saw that on a retail shelf. Doesn't work for me.

It's kind of cool, but looks like the bidding is already up to $11. I don't know if its worth that much honestly.

If you check his store, he's selling a lot of loose MU figures. Could be legit, I wouldn't be surprised if he worked at the Hasbro plant and he's selling them off as the ones that don't pass quality or could be a bunch of knock offs.

but think about the "translucent" figures....Vision, Dr. Strange, etc. They have reason to be in that state. Why would Iron Spidey?

Is it even possible to customize a transluscent figure like that? I'd think that would require the actual molds and plastic to create.

I really wish Hasbro would tell it's fans what's coming out. This is getting ridiculous. On top of the complete inability to answer the Q&A's they're collecting questions for, and "Coming soon!" press releases months after the wave has hit stores, I really think they need to fire their PR team. College freshmen marketing majors could do better than those jokers.

Didn't Iron Man make that suite with a cloaking method during Civil War? That could be the reason why...

Hong Kong naturally. it reminds me of "www.cheapnikeairmax.com"

They have all these cool ridiculous amounts of colors and styles of Air Max, all completely knocked off. Relax completists, this too shall pass, and so too will your patience. (See fire sale below.)

Good theory, seems like a stretch. It has the concept look that IM Armored Avenger and the SpiderMan 3.75" have. Fairly gimmicky, no real rhyme or reason. Just colorful and "fun".

I bit the bullet and picked one up. I'm a sucker for anything in translucent colors. Held off on the Electro because I want those bolts he comes with.

Hells yeah. I'm always on the look out for Hong Kong/ Jap sellers who get things that "fall off" the assembly line. Sometimes it's the best way to see what's comming out. Those did go fast. Decent price with free shipping. It will probably be 2012 by the time I get it but hey. Thanks for the heads up.

Possibly the factory is selling knock offs to other countries- that happened all the time with the old Batman Animated Series line of figures- my friend that collected them has a bunh of fakes...but they might have been some after-hours corruption thing.

Personally, I think it's legit- we could be kicking ourselves for not snapping one up- and if it's fake...it's a hell of a fake! It's obviously thanslucent.

it's not a stretch, it's the reason. the iron spider-man suit could go invisible and going forward, the 3 scarlet spiders (initiative clones) could also go invisible. the 6-inch spider-man line also had a clear variant as someone stated above.

Well, if you were a customizer, it'd be great parts fodder....though I'd prefer any other character or color to that combonation.

An all clear Invisible Woman for example would be easy for them to make as a carded fig and would be incredible.

Or a War Machine in the current armor with a translucent variant.

Or a Living Laser in clear yellow- they could use all the the Electro mold with a new head and shoulder pads.

Or a purple "ionic" Wonder Man.
