Thanks to TOYARK.com boards member 907shayne for posting up images of his Super Articulated RoboCop Custom.
“For the articulation, I cut the ball joint necks off of 2 joes, attached them to the shoulder area, and dremeled holes in the arms to join them. For the elbows, knees, and ankles, I took a star wars figure, cut the corresponding joints, dremeled them down, drilled holes into the Robocop model, and fit and glued them in. The waits is a cut joint, and the hips are a V-cut joint from the original model. I kept the head as a peg/cut joint, but I think I may change it to a ball joint so there is more range of motion.”
This is my 1/18th style Robocop:

He has a removable helmet, weapon hands, removable data spike, jet pack, and a working leg holster.
WOW! Awesome! Please tell us how you did this... please?????
I love the kutobuki robocop and had to get one years ago. I am very happy to see someone showing theirs helmet-less. It looks like a lot of work.
Thanks guys, I is a Kotobukiya model I added articulation to. The articulation was not too hard to add, most of the work went into the custom head and the leg holster. Very happy with it though, it has everything I want in a Robocop
Very nicely done! Looks great!
How big is he?
This is some really awesome work!
"Go, Robo!"
That looks awesome! I think everybody would love details on how you added the articulation.
For the articulation, I cut the ball joint necks off of 2 joes, attached them to the shoulder area, and dremeled holes in the arms to join them. For the elbows, knees, and ankles, I took a star wars figure, cut the corresponding joints, dremeled them down, drilled holes into the Robocop model, and fit and glued them in. The waits is a cut joint, and the hips are a V-cut joint from the original model. I kept the head as a peg/cut joint, but I think I may change it to a ball joint so there is more range of motion.
For the holster, I cut the outside of the leg away, giving me two armor panels. I dremeled the inside down and made a cavity for the Auto-9. I glued 2 pegs onto the inside of the front armor panel, and drilled corresponding holes into the front of the leg so the panel slides back and forth. The back panel I just glued a portion back on, and it folds back and forth.
Well done sir. I applaud your good work.
Great figure upgrade. Part of the reason I initially passed on getting this figure was the lack of articulation. This looks awesome.
Sorry CLASSIFIED, he's 4".
honestly looks like the movie maniacs 6'' version minus the gun compartment in the leg, awesome custom work man!
I don' know why they didn't do the leg hoster on the original in he first place. Great Job!!
looks great!
