For more photos and info, click the headline of the story.

MOTU Fans,

If you’re in the Los Angeles area, hopefully you had a chance to come meet us this past weekend at Power-Con, the convention devoted to all things Masters of the Universe®. Not only was it a blast hanging out with fans, we also revealed a whole slew of figures!

“Traveling Convention” Figure: Temple of Darkness Sorceress®
This is an all-white redeco of the Sorceress, as she was shown in the vintage mini-comic “The Temple of Darkness.” She’ll arrive with her white magic staff and new Orb of Grayskull™ stand (the Orb itself was included with our King Grayskull® figure in fall 2010). This Sorceress will be our 2012 “traveling convention” figure, much like the three JLU 3-packs are for 2011. We haven’t locked down the itinerary yet, but we expect NYCC and Power-Con to be two of the shows we attend in 2012. Any unsold units of this special redeco of the Sorceress will be sold on Mattycollector.com in late fall 2012, but you can get her first at Mattel’s traveling shows! (P.S. She will not be sold at SDCC or in any subscription.)

April Club Eternia® Figure: Stinkor®
It’s the henchman with stench, man! This servant to Skeletor® really smells just like the vintage toy (think patchouli with a little extra sumpin’ sumpin’). Comes with two interchangeable heads, backpack, shield and all-new blaster. Included with 2012 Club Eternia subscriptions.

April Club Eternia® “Oversized” Beast: Griffin
Take to the skies with the evil winged steed of Beast Man® and reign terror throughout the light hemisphere! Based on the Battle Cat® buck (new head, rear legs, neck, saddle, head and tail), this new beast is the perfect choice for sending wicked warriors soaring into battle. Included with 2012 Club Eternia subscriptions.

April Non-Subscription Item: Snake Mountain® Stands
Can’t stand your evil warriors? Here’s your chance to get them in fighting position with this great non-sub item featuring reconfigurable base and rock spikes.

May Club Eternia® Figure: Slush Head™
The evil goon squad member from the Tri Solar System enters the MattyCollector.com universe at long last. Another great mutant warrior to add to your collection, Slush Head comes complete with arm tentacles, axe and removable head dome you can really fill up with water! Included with 2012 Club Eternia subscriptions.

May MOTU 30th Anniversary Series Figure: The Mighty Spector
Created by our very own Toy Guru, Scott Neitlich, from a childhood sketch, The Mighty Spector is the heroic master of Time Travel. He’s an undercover agent ready to serve the royal household any time, any place. Comes complete with blaster and swapable laser whip/knife (not shown). Included with 2012 MOTU 30th Anniversary Series subscriptions.

These are just some of the awesome items we’ve got planned for 2012. As we recently announced, prices for figures purchased during the monthly sales will be higher than those purchased through the subscription. If you want to make sure you get every one of the subscription figures shown above , plus save on figure prices and combined shipping, then make sure you sign up for both Club Eternia® and the 30th Anniversary Series. But don’t wait”¦ the sale ends Monday, October 3rd at 11:59pm!’

Excited for the Temple of Darkness Sorceress but wish she could be in the 30th sub. I'm not crazy about The Mighty Spector. Nor am I crazy about some of the other choices for the 30th line. I only got it so I would not loose out on the couple figs they will make that everyone will want.

Extremely pumped for Stinkor! The 200x head is great and now that they have the armor Mekaneck should not be to far away. I want a huge elaborite mase for him.

Draego Man not coming with his shield is lame. Flip shot can come with a huge jet pack & extra head but no shield for Draego Man. We will prob get it in a wepons pack. They aslo announced that the day of sale figs will go up 1-5 dollars. That's a big swing and huge turnoff for casual collectors and people who pick up extras.

I forgot to mention that they raised the price of the windraider to $45. it's getting rediculous. They want us to agree to a set pricing structure then change the price at there whim. This deal's getting worse all the time.

It's going to be interseting to see what the stands look like when all of the hole are in them. The images so far look like prototypes. They still look like they can be linked/placed together to look seamless.

I never got those stands to link up nice enough to replace my current setup. They are great for people who have plenty of room, but when you're displaying 10,000 figures on shelves, they are too widely spaced apart. I bought 20 of the grayskull stands, probably only one pack of these.

I found that to be the case as well. I still have one box of Castle Greyskull stands unopened because of the room they take up.

I'm not understanding why The Mighty Spector is part of the 30th anniversary line. He's a brand new character, is he not?

I'm not totally sold on this version of the Sorceress. I need more pictures. She should be part of the 30th anniversary set if she is not.

As for the rest - love it! Top of my want list are Stinkor and Slush-head. I wonder if Stinkor smells.

The 30th Anniversary line has 6 all new MOTU characters, 1 released every other month in 2012.

I think they kinda dropped the ball on the 30th Anniversary celebration all together. So many possibilities that could have been explored and they took the path of least actual "celebration" of the line.

I read some nerd rage somewhere about how The Mighty Spector is the brainchild of a Mattel exec and is kind of a deal where; "I'm in charge so I'm going to make a figure for me and you all are just going yo have to like it."

From my perspective, he certainly isn't as exciting as Draego Man and Photog, but whatever... I'm easy to please.

For some reason he reminds me of one of those Mighty Crusader figures I think Remco made back in the day.

Yes Spector was Toyguru's child hood entry to the Mattel create a figure contest.

I hear you guys. This 30th line is BS who wants non MOTU figures. They could have done so much more than this. Mattel is really screwing the pooch on this one. If they think I will buy there crap no matter what they have another thing comming. I do not see the line lasting past 2012.

I'm pretty excited for Draego Man and Photog, and imagine the non-Toy Guru figs will be worth getting too.

Considering the line has lasted this long I imagine there are enough grown-assed adults shelling out $$$ to support the line past 2012. At least I hope so; I like He Man toys!

The MOTUC line will continue simply because they are catering solely to those already buying the stuff by only producing enough to sell through. And if they run out, do a smaller second run of it. Plus they price the stuff based on that.

The problem with that business model is they aren't doing anything to expand beyond the base they have right now. Stuff they do at the various conventions is only catering to those already aware and/or following the product. The 30th Anniversary banner should have been used to expand beyond the confinements they've set up for themselves. Gain a wider audience and at least attempt to bring MOTU back into some type of mainstream awareness.

Slush Head is a "for sure" get for me. I like that he's a throwback to vintage sci-fi and it's nice to see some of the better conceived "New Adventures" baddies get some love. Plus lots of accessories, great likeness, and love the color scheme. The fact that you can fill the dome with water puts it over the top!

That Griffin looks pretty cool too, but spendy. Never been much of a fan of Stinkor, but this version looks good.

Forget Mighty Spector, he looks like a Deadpool/Snake Eyes ripoff with that head. Had they made him a little more interesting up top, I'd have thought about it. Maybe he'll go for peanuts on ebay and make for a good custom fig.

Oh, and the snake mt. stands look fantastic!

Ya, those new guys I thought I had missed something in the He-Msan and She-Ra cartoons.

I disagree. Although their DC/MOTU 2-packs suck in execution, they are at least trying to expand back into retail. Now I agree that the 30th line could have been done for a broader audience, but they are trying to put figures out to a wider audience. It just didn't work. I don't know why they thought it would be successful. The only time I ever saw a successful mesh of two seperate brands in a two pack was Marvel vs Capcom in the 90s but those actually had a point of relation with the video game. The couple of comics from the 80's is not enough to tie them together.

I never felt those 2-packs were a serious attempt to put MOTU back into the mainstream. It was handled so poorly (not surprising, this is Mattel after all) and it was an overall product that people in general didn't care about. First, they were exclusives and second it was catering to an extremely tiny market; Those that like the large DCU figures and those that like MOTU. Second, the price put killed any chance of this being an impulse purchase for casual interest fans or parents. If 2-packs is the way they feel they need to go, then do 2-packs of the actual MOTU characters.

I was looking at the presentation on facebook and was so freaking geeked that Stinkor is coming out in 2012 so just the first four months makes my membership totally worth it. The White Sorceress looks freaking sweet and hope i can get to a con and get her. The Griffin is going to give my Beast man a nice flying position to command his two Shadow beasts.

Slushhead looks interesting and I hope we get a NA He Man so Icarius doesnt have to fight Optikk and SLushhead alone. LOL.

Spector? WTH? Thats not Stinkor's smell, thats an actual figure? UGH! I was hesitating to get the 30th Anniversary figures subscription because despite Photog and Draego man there are a lot of liberties of these *new* characters being designed by the talents. Plus with the rate Leech and Hurricane Hordak are flying off Mattycollector (did HH finally sell out like two weeks after the first sale date?) I think they finally have a figure that will *virtually* peg warm.
