MacFarlane Toys has announced that The Walking Dead Comic Series 1 figures have begun to be released at retail.
No sleeping sibling or rival toy will be safe now that The Walking Dead figures have started to wandering on to shelves at your neighborhood Toys”R”Us, Barnes & Noble, Hastings Entertainment, and comic book stores. The Walking Dead Comic Series 1 includes some of the most iconic characters from the book like Officer Rick Grimes and Michonne. But don’t forget the zombies, because it’s all fun and games until someone gets their brains eaten.

Let’s take another look at The Walking Dead line, just in case you can’t recognize a flesh-eating zombie when you see one”¦
OFFICER RICK GRIMES
Inspired by the cover of The Walking Dead comic book issue #1, this figure features Rick in his police officer uniform, complete with cowboy hat and jacket. Figure comes with pistol and a police duffel bag with several removable shotguns. Features approximately 20 points of articulation.
MICHONNE
Inspired by the cover of The Walking Dead comic book issue #19, this figure features Michonne as she appeared on that first fateful day, with the accessories from her unforgettable act of vengeance to come. Figure comes with her signature katana sword and various implements of revenge including a power drill, hammer, pliers, and spoon. Features approximately 22 points of articulation.
ZOMBIE LURKER
Pull its torso up, and it splits apart at the waist, exposing its intestines and other internal organs, transforming it into a legless “crawler.” The figure also features removable arm segments and a head that splits at the jaw line, all exposing layers of decaying muscle, bones, and blood.
ZOMBIE ROAMER
Press the button on the Zombie Roamer’s back, and its head splits open vertically, unleashing an explosive, disgusting mess of blood and brain fragments. Push the knife-shaped lever back down, close the head, and reset the figure for another sickening head burst. Figure also features removable arm segments that expose the jagged bones and torn muscle that lie beneath.
BLOODY BLACK & WHITE ZOMBIE 2-PACK
For a touch of extra horror, we created black & white versions of the Zombie Lurker and Zombie Roamer, with just a touch of red blood splatter! These bloody, black & white zombies are only available only as a 2-pack. BLACK & WHITE OFFICER RICK GRIMES

Walking Dead Comic Series 1 Toys Released
Now that these will be showing up I can finally find out exactly how big/small these are. McFarlane's site has been no help, describing these as 6 inch scale, yet from their promotional material they've appeared quite smaller.
Have not been too keen on McFarlane Toys for many years now, but I do find these intriguing. I'm not even a fan of zombies either. So if they turn out to be in a scale I collect I may actually be buying these.
I just want to make sure I get a comic series Rick.
SO has anyone grabbed these? The price seems pretty steep on them.
Saw these @TRU. More articulated than i thought.
I saw them at TRU, but at $18 each there's no way I'm getting them. Too bad. I wanted at least the zombies.
I may have managed to snag a set for $56. Even that is still a little much for what you get. These should have been $10 figures.
