Hasbro Brings Jem to NYCC - (And TF, Joe, SW, Marvel)
Is there a list of the exclusives? I might have missed it because I'm looking from my phone.
I cant wait to see what the exclusives will be. Thisll be the first large convention ive been to since ive started collecting again.
I'm calling it now...I bet Jem will be nothing like the original concept, cartoon or toy line. That might not be a bad thing though.
Jem? Making a comeback? That's outrageous. Truly, truly, truly outrageous.
...I can't believe I just said that.
So what if the marvel exclusive is another x-force repaint and they screw us over and do cable. Still dont even have an x-force archangel damn it.
...I can't believe I just said that.
I watched the Jem cartoon the other day on the Hub network and it was so God awefull I had to watch it. Jem's sister was going to get married to a stunt man but another guy liked her and she like him but still agreed to get married to the stunt man. The other guy tries to do a stunt to inpredd her and ends up in traction. Jems sister has the wedding but backs out at the last second to be with the injured guy and everything worked out fine in the end. There was a great wedding montage Jem vid in the middle of the episode. Truly outragious indeed.
Now that's hot.
I'm Excited

I think its Sunbow, just like Joe and Transformers (and Conan the Adventurer too if you're keeping score).
It was too crappy for me to continue to watch so I deleted my series recording.
I don't care all that much about Jem.

My daughter has actually been getting into Jem lately, thanks to The Hub. If a new show and or toy line comes out, she may love it. And that would be cool.
I just got sad, I dont see My Little Pony listed in that press release D:
I wanted to find out about season 2 and maybe see if they are making a applejack thats 5 dollars with her hat...
The timing seems about right. They should be announcing, or not long after NYCC announcing a new Jem cartoon, followed potentially by a movie announcement.
At least that fits with the base plan for the Hub and hasbro licenses. They'll be reaching into their bag of licenses every year or other year and bringing something 'refreshed' to the table after they premiere the classic to air for awhile. The concept will be intact for the soul of the show, but definitely should be radically different to seperate itself from the original. Hasbro knows not to stray from the premise but also knows how to update it for modern audiences as Renegades and Prime have shown.
So dammit, bring on new inhumanoids updated already!!!
Such an easy one that needs the 4'' treatment as well as a modernized series that picks up where the previous left off with a dash of new blood on the team since Auger was president and upped their funding. (So classic for the classic members and new tech suits for the new blood! Use Bubblegum crisis as a design basis for the new blood, and not the accel suits from GI Joe.)
It would be awesome er I mean totally outrageous if Hasbro gives Jem the G.I. Joe treatment. 4 inch figures, doll house, vehicles etc
I've been watching me some Transformers and GI Joe on the HUB lately. Yes, even some Jem, too. It really is pretty bad, but I feel so damn nostalgic about them. I really like the HUB network, especially as a concept. They need to keep it going.
And, Snowflakian, a big bold YES for bringing back Inhumanoids.
So is there any idea of what type of exclusives they'll have? Do they usually even do exclusives for NYCC or have they ever in the past????
I wanted to find out about season 2 and maybe see if they are making a applejack thats 5 dollars with her hat...
Buying my ticket tomorrow!
I'm really excited to see how Hasbro ends up handing this brand again
