Marvel Universe Apocalypse – Random Photo Shoot

Posted on August 19, 2011 at 9:25 pm by Tony_Bacala under Marvel Toy News, Random Photo Shoot

It’s Friday night, Thundercats just aired, and it’s time for another “Random Photo Shoot” here at Toyark.com. This is where we do up a photo gallery of a figure, for no reason other than we had it and wanted to. :)

Not new by fellow collector’s standards, as we’ve seen him since late last year, but Marvel Universe Apocalypse is yet another one of those awesome figs that just deserve some camera lovin’. Personally I am not that into the character, but as a figure, he’s big and bulky and awesome, plus rocks some TFW2005 style colors, so he’s officially on the shelf here at Toyark HQ.

Check out about 30 high res pics of MU Apocalypse after the break!

For no other reason than because I saw him on the shelf today, got him at retail price, and love the figure!

    Happy weekend, later!

I picked up this guy just recently. He is indeed a rather cool MU fig. Especially for the 5 bucks I got him for.

When you put him in the right light his blue paint has a nice sheen to it.

Yeah, I am very impressed by the mold detailing and the paint apps on these latest waves of MU figures. Especially this one.

I want the BAF Apocalypse to put next to him, but i do agree he is a very well done figure wish his torso stretched out more.

Yah, that sheen is awesome; I don't like his shoulder pads though.

Great figure! Although I kinda wish they painted on his classic "A" logo on his chest like every one of his incarnations had.

You need the BAF version, 5" X-Men version, 3.75" MU Version, 2" Diecast version and 1" Heroclix version- each one holding the next smallest fig.

You can have him fight Spidey doing the same thing! (sub the 10" Spidey for the BAF role, of course)

After he said his own name in the third person for the thousandth time, someone said "we get it already, jackass!" and everyone laughed so he took it off and got those hosey shoulder pads instead, not knowing that shoulder pads went out with the 80's.

He's got some awesome mutant powers but fashion sense is not among them.

I was very surprised to see that this figure had rocker ankles. One of the best MU figures so far. Thigh swivels are a must for me now too.
