The Return Of Marvel Legends THOR SDCC 2011

The Return Of Marvel Legends THOR SDCC 2011

Whosoever Holds This Hammer If He Be Worthy Shall Possess The Power Of THOR!

SDCC 2011 has come and gone and left us with some awesome exclusives. Hasbro’s Marvel Team chose this years show to mark the return of Marvel Legends with SDCC 2011 THOR along with the first 2 waves of upcoming characters.

I had never collected Marvel Legends in the past but I am for sure glad I picked up this awesome version of The Mighty THOR!

I’m highly impressed with the sculpt and the paint deco for the new Marvel Legends THOR. I have never collected this line before and I do not plan on collecting the complete line in the future, however after looking at how awesome this size class can be I will be picking up a few in the future.

The Articulation is unexpectedly good and you can get some very cool comic book poses set up, very easy, without the figure falling over. The box is also a very nice touch, shaped like THOR’S Hammer with a cool back drop that I decided to use with my images.

While I will always prefer my Marvel Universe figures over Legends, Hasbro has done a great job with this release. Looking forward to seeing the rest out at retail and I know there is a ton of Legends fans out there that will agree.

Feel Free to ask question if you have any…..

Honestly wanted this bad, and would of ordered it online, but for whatever reason Hasbro boycotts shipping to My Province only! They ship to all of Canada except the province of PEI. Which is an island and semi remote, but there's also Vancouver Island, NFLD/Labrador and the Yukon which are just as remote if not more so. I got some bs email response that they're looking into why they're excluding my entire area but have yet to get a good answer other then we're looking into it. I refuse to pay scalper prcing for this item 2. $40-50 ain't worth it.

Just wait for it when hits retail for 1/2 or less of the cost and includes Terrax piece #7!

But you won't get the awesome packaging and I think the eyes are different on the retail version. Just got mine today from hts and along with the awesome packaging, its really an amazing figure.

Exactly, not only do I not get the sick packaging, but miss out on the limited lightning painted version, also the handle is a giant kickass poster.

Are there any QQ issues with this? (loose joints, etc..) I'm absolutely dying to get this particular figure (and the rest of the upcoming relaunch line) and I just hope these figures are a little better on the QQ side than some others...*cough*..DCUC..*cough*.

I myself, as a big fan of Thor wanted this SDCC exclusive version (still thinking about getting it), but now I'm leaning towards waiting for the regular release. Unfortunately the regular release won't come with the charged up paint-job, but I at least hope that they will fix his cape. It's crooked. The top two circles on his suit don't line up. In regards to the two top circles, one is on the seam of his chest armor as it should be, and the other is up and off to the side. Every figure I've seen looks that way. It's very sloppy on Hasbro's part, and I hope it's fixed with the retail release.

I never bought a Legend before, and wouldn't have bought JUST this, but since I was already paying for Sentinel shipping I tossed this guy in my cart too. The packaging seriously is the shit. The figure is very nice looking too.

I did the same exact thing. I had someone that was supposed to be hooking me up with both but I didnt want to rely on him. Come to find out I may be getting a Sentinel but not a Thor so im really glad that I picked him up.

His face for some reason reminds me of Sten from Dragon Age. I guess it's the grimace.

    The box is hilariously awesome.

Definately a great looking figure right there. It's gonna be hard resisting the urge to buy these new Legends.

Probably a stupid question, but do we know when the new ML wave is supposed to be out in retail?

Tight joints with nice paint apps and it does not fall over. This is the only Legends figure I own so I can't compare it to the others.

I promised myself, and my anorexic wallet, that I wouldn't get into ML. But man that is one awesome Thor. If the rest of the retail ML line are this good... my wallet will be sent to an early grave.

PS Don't take him out of the package. He's perfect all sealed up like that! (whispers: mosc, mosc, mosc...)

This is my first Legend as well. Love it too. I mainly bought it because of the packaging. It will prolly be my last Legend as well (unless they have one bad ass BAF) I just don't think my wallet would like me to much if I spend roughly $15-19 a piece for a single figure.

Ironman/War Machine are in stores now, but I don't think the rest of the relaunch figs we've seen are due until first quarter 2012.
