SDCC 2011 Minimates MARVEL vs. CAPCOM 3: Fate of Two Worlds

Posted on July 1, 2011 at 3:37 pm by DESTRO under San Diego Comic Con

Celebrating the release of MARVEL vs. CAPCOM 3: Fate of Two Worlds, a video game sequel nearly 10 years in the making, this licensed miniature figures set is based on players’ favorite fighters from the highly-anticipated third entry in the franchise! Fans can now recreate beat-’em-up battle sequences with iconic characters from both MARVEL and CAPCOM, including Hulk, Iron Man, Zero and Morrigan Aensland in their variant, player two colors.

you are reading that correctly...but whoever crafted that press release may have jumbled it. the u.s. version will not come with it's trailer.

Am I insane, or was that set released years ago with those exact figures and molds? In fact, I'm pretty sure it's incredibly common and cheap.

    Here, Republic Commandos Delta Squad.

Very true, they were released before. Chances are they used the same mold for these ones... EXCEPT for the legs. The old ones didn't have leg articulation, which isn't a big deal to me personally because I just put them on display (like most people do). But, they are definitely not common and/or cheap. If they were, I would had them in my hands a LONG time ago.

The clone mold they are using is from this BP:

Rebelscum.com: Star Wars The Legacy Collection Photo Archives

So, the above post was correct, as they have new legs with improved articulation. Sadly, I'm pretty sure they still don't have any shoulder joints. Either way, I really want this set.

DAMN IT! The ball shoulders are the joints I wanted to see on these guys the most, nearly every other Star Wars figure at this point has them!

I'd like to get my hands on that version myself. I passed first time around, but I have pre ordered the black version with trailer. After hearing about the QC issues it had, I'm glad I waited..
