Wow I didn't realize they weren't widely released already I found them at a walmart in Oregon over a month ago. Then I found them last night at a Fred Meyers. I only need to find a goblin and battle damaged iron man.

These have been out for a while. I found one pack at Walmart at least a month ago and got a Venom.

Ditto on the seen them before a few weeks to a month or more back. Didn't realize it was news or I would have gotten a pic then.

I dont have pics of my Venom but you can find them all over eBay or google pictures for a while now. They arent that cool and I'd rather pick up the mini-mates if I was interested at all in these small lego style figures.
This is the Venom that I have:

Yeah... I'm not interested, personally. Mega Bloks have always just been the poor-man's Lego, in my opinion, and if you're into that sort of thing just for Marvel then you might as well invest in the Minimates. It's just Marvel oversaturation- like how they have Marvel "Mighty Beans," "Squinkies," and everything else under the sun. I've said it before- I'll stick to the comic-based, Marvel 3 3/4'' figures. They get enough of my money as is.

I'd give megabloks credit for the Halo blind packs. Or at least I would if half the ones I got didn't have an arm that just falls off on their own. QC is pretty random. Some are perfection, others, not even close.

So I agree on the marvel. Stick to minimates. Though for Halo I gotta say, I do prefer the Megabloks even with the flaws.

I can take some quick ones later on. I ended up getting 2 grey Spidermans which pissed me off but luck of the draw I suppose. I also have Red Spiderman and War Machine, War Machine kicks ass. I've only seen these at Walmart but not at every Walmart I've gone to.

There is one major perk to marvel megabloks.

They clip on well to the clip points on transformers. Which makes poses all the more fun with them.

Picked up one a while back thinking well I like the little Lego figures so I'll like these as well.

Yea, I just don't like the figure so I didn't bother to pick up any more of them.

I posted this in the "Look What I Got" thread last month:

And here's a close up of War Machine:

From what I can tell, it's the same figure that comes with the IM2 MegaBloks set (same for the Iron Man).

I, too, have only been able to find them at Walmarts around here, but not every Walmart in my area carries them. The only one I'm missing out of wave 1 is Black Spidey. The quality on mine have been on par with Lego minifigs, more articulation than Legos, and they don't seem as delicate as Minimates.

The blind pack thing is kind of annoying after a while, but thankfully I've only had 3 duplicates so far (which I already gave away or sold).

War Machine and Green Goblin are the best of the wave, with the IM, Venom and Spidey molds filling out the rest.

For those who haven't found them yet:

    Ultra Rare
    Green Goblin

    Rare
    Black Spider-Man
    War Machine (IM2)

    Commons
    Armored Spider-Man
    Spider-Man
    Invincible Iron Man (MK VI)
    Venom
    Battle-Damaged Iron Man (MK VI)

I'll see if I can get scans of the insert at some point. There's pics of more sets coming, including Spider-Man and Venom kits.

BD Iron Man is a common, so he should be fairly easy to pick up, eventually (I ended up getting 2 before I stopped). Green Goblin is the Ultra Rare, but he's also the only one with a glider accessory. As long as you don't mind standing in the aisle and fondling several of the blind packs for that unique piece, you should be able to tell which one is Gobby before leaving the store.

Yup, it's the same figures that came with the megablok build sets awhile back for each character. It's the same they do to the halo spartans.

Actually if you search the internet, there are codes these figs. you can know which figs are which if you know the codes. so you can easily find rare figures with ease.

Green Goblin is super rare and goes for 2-5 bucks on eBay.

So if you look on the edge of the package there is a number you can use to figure out what fig is in the pack.. this site has a list of the numbering. I just got a Green Goblin. I like the figure concepts but most of this set are reuse from there super hero sets already out there.

Basically, they're trying to hit the same market that Lego is aiming for with their minifig packs.

And I like them, espeically if it saves me from getting a bunch of MegaBlok kits that I don't really want.

Thanks for the link to the codes. Now to see if I can find a Black Spidey and finish the wave....

I found wave 2 of the marvel mega bloks figs at a walmart on Wednesday in the Portland area. This wave includes:
    Iron Man Mark V
    Red Skull
    Wolverine
Ground Assualt Drone (from Iron Man 2)
    Captain America
    Whiplash
    Thor
    Loki

I bought 6 packs and got all but Capt and Wolverine.... looks like they still have individual numbers on the edge.

LEGO is doing Marvel now? When did this happen? I know they did Spider-man, but other than that... *shrug*

Are the lego figures more articulated these days? If they are the kind I remember, they basically only move front and back at the shoulders and hips. No sort of ball joints like Mega Blok figures.

Just recently got into the Mega Blok stuff and am loving them. Hate to see Lego get ahold of the license (assuming Mega Bloks must stop releasing new figs) if they are sticking to the limited articulation minifigs.
