Marvel 2011 Q&A Round 2 Answers

Posted on May 31, 2011 at 2:16 pm by Shin Densetsu under Marvel Toy News

Back in March we submitted select questions for the Hasbro Marvel 2011 Q&A. We have received the answers TODAY!

1) When hasbro invests in new part(s) tooling for an exclusive figure, can those parts be re-used in the main line to further the life of the new tooling? For example 2009’s mail away Nick Fury head being re-used for a MAX Fury or a life model decoy (lmd) Fury?

A) We try to find as many uses as possible for all our tooling. But, we also have to keep it fresh. As with everything in life, it’s important to try and keep a good balance.

2) What happened to the unreleased Iron Man 2 movie star 3 pack with Black Widow, Tony, and Rhodey with un-helmeted versions of themselves? Last we heard you were “working hard on bringing this to the fans” Will we see it in the armoured avengers line?

A) No you will not. Unfortunately, this item was dropped from the line. We will work to include these characters in future lines where possible.

3) Classic costumes on some heroes are ok, but it really bugged me when Toy Biz released characters like Luke Cage and Havok in costumes they had not worn in a over decade. Do you plan for the majority of your new Marvel Legends sculpts to reflect the Modern Heroic Age costumes?

A) We’re always exploring every option and we love your input so keep the comments coming!

YOU HEARD THEM FOLKS KEEP THE COMMENTS COMING! Voice your opinions! Heroic Age? CLASSIC? WHAT. DO. YOU. WANT…for future Marvel releases by Hasbro? Let ’em be known!

Yay! Really happy to see a Daffy in the works (Motorized Gizmo From NECA).

As previously stated I'd also like to see some of the mutated gremlins.

This is the most badass Gremlin, correct me if I'm wrong, but he's the one that morphs into the spider, right? He really was such a little badass. I may actually buy this one.

Yes, and Faith No More's song "Surprise! You're Dead!" plays in the background when he first appears on-screen as the Spider-Gremlin.

He was always my favorite of the New Batch and had a kick-ass theme song to boot!

He's my favorite too, after that, Stripe from the first one. I also really like the fruit Gremlin.

Yeah they're never actually named in the films, but the books and things that came out at the time gave their names. Once you hear them its really kinda obvious.

Plus compare Lenny to Skids in Transformers 2...
