Thundercats Toys Leaked Pics

Posted on January 25, 2011 at 2:50 pm by Joe Moore under Thundercats Toy News

Manny from the Thundercats Lair Message Boards has posted the very first leaked photos of the Thundercats toy line. The pics come from the UK Toy Fair 2011. The toys, based on a new show, have direct influences from the original show. Great news for Thundercats fans.

EDIT:

Some more info is coming out. The main line for the new figures will be about 3 3/4 sized with larger, 8 inch sized versiosn as well. But, there will be a line of fully articulated Classic Thundercats figures! Detailing on these classic Thundercats is said to be excellent and they will stand about 6 inches tall.

Well, what are you waiting for? Why are you still reading? Click the headline of the story for the photos already!

according to the original post there will be a 3 3/4 line AND a 6 or 7 inch line of both modern AND classic figures. apparently they will have some pretty ridiculous articulation...here's hoping.

it may sound weird but i'll miss lion-o's old three finger shield

From reading the text in the pics -

the main line is small - approx 3 3/4
there will be larger deluxe versions of the main figs - 15 cm, approx 6 inches.

There will be a classics series, based on the original show at 20 cm, 8 inches.

New style looks kinda cool, but classic Thundercats plus a tank is awesome.

Hopefully we'll see some proper pictures at the US Toy Fair.

I never cared for Thundercats. Like... at all. (Kinda liked Silverhawks, though)
I didn't like it as a child, and getting to see a little bit as an adult on cartoon network, found it to be AWEFUL.

This however looks interesting. And I really like Cheetara's redesign. WAY better.

lion-o looks kinda young there. late teens it looks like, i'd rather he be a young adult, early 20's like, but it's not a deal breaker. plus that cartoon image looks pretty cool.

As someone who grew up watching the original, I can honestly say I'm looking forward to this new show and it's toy-line. Not a big fan of the now robotic glove Lion-O has, but other than that, everything looks great. Especially the sword (which I might get). If they classics line turns out good, and isn't too expensive, I'll definitely get the main cast.

Given that the UK doesn't have any exclusive ways for collectors to get things (like HTS or Mattycollector), I think it can be assumed that these will be available at bricks and mortar.

Not neccessarily in the UK though........
