We’ve received the answers for the latest round of Ask Matty Q&A!
1) Is there a possibility that we may see future waves(in DCUC) dedicated to a single Comic Property, such as Flash, Wonder Woman, or Green Arrow, filled with villains and supporting cast from the dedicated character?
No. DCUC will always be a mix of many characters. The only time you will see a wave themed for one character is when we launch a dedicated line like Green Lantern Classics.
2) Why is the less iconic “Classic costume” Sinestro being reissued, when the figure had been already widely available and relatively easy to find already, instead of reissuing the iconic and imposisble to find Sinestro Corps Sinestro?
This pack was meant to recreate the classic Hal vs. Sinestro face-off cover (shown on the back of package) and Sinestro wore his classic costume on this cover.
3) The Ghostbusters Line is awesome and I eagerly await each new figure in the line. While I love the super detailed 6″ & 12″ figures of the ghost bashing boys, I was wondering if Matty has considered adding a new scale of 3.75″ figures with perhaps a certain 1959 Cadillac Ambulance accessory? I think the 3.75″ format would be great to see and might be a launching point to return to retail. Any hope of seeing Ghostbusters shrink down to this format?
Always a possibility, but right now we are concentrating on the 6-inch and 12-inch scales. Maybe this is something that will be explored in the future if there is enough fan support. It certainly would be an easier way to do vehicles then at a 6-inch scale!
4) Batman has evolved into many different lines, different outfits and has a rogues gallery unmatched in the history of toys. We were treated to various Batman lines but was wondering if Matty had an thoughts on reinventing the toy line into a 3.75″ format with perhaps various Batman figures ranging from comics, cartoons, movies and the 60’s TV show along with their signature Batmobiles and bat gadgets as well as various villians and sidekicks?
We are always looking into ways of reinventing Batman. No plans right now to announce for this type of line, but with a new Batman film on the horizon you never know what is possible!
5) Fans have been waiting for Kyle Rayner figure, but is a Kyle Rayner in his classic Green Lantern costume a possibility in the forseeable future? That’s the costume most fans are familiar with.
As demonstrated by characters like Robin and Black Lightning, just because one version of a character has shown up first in DCUC does not mean different versions can’t show up in time!
