Astonishing X Men Wolverine Possible Debut At SDCC 2010

Posted on July 18, 2010 at 10:30 pm by Shin Densetsu under Marvel Toy News

CoolToyReview has posted additional Marvel Universe teasers, including 3 new silhouettes. The most recognizable one may in fact be the Astonishing X-Men/Modern costume Wolverine from the X Men Origins Wolverine deluxe sets, only this time with a masked head sculpt.

Two things are immediately noticeable regarding the Wolverine silhouette:

  • Ball jointed legs reminiscent of the Wolverine Origins line
  • Boots/gloves with plating/panels seen on the current costume(which makes this an easy choice for a Civil War Comic Pack)
  • Claws reminiscent of the aforementioned Origins line in lieu of the claws from the Marvel Universe line(which have gaps between them)
Just a few more days until San Diego Comic Con 2010! What goodies could Hasbro have in store for us? Who could the other 2 figures be? Could the Wolverine shown actually be an all new figure instead of the Origins figure with a new head sculpt?

    Paper Bag spidey
    Speedball
Guardians of the galaxy (the leader, forgot his name, perfect with thanos coming though)
    Black Knight

Gotta say, 3 of em are tempting. I'd skip paper bag spidey. But the other 3 help round out different teams for me, even start a new warriors one. Black knight goes perfect with MI13 to round out Cap, UJ, and Blade.

I was thinking taskmaster at first, till I looked at the head shape and cape. Definitely has to be black knight. The head isn't cowl shaped enough, too helmet like.

On the flipside though, his body would be perfect for task master, so that may not be far off either.

Star Lord looks like he uses the AIM body too.

And yeah, black knight has had a cape off and on, varies issue to issue, or event to event, and when the fighting made him lose it. lol

90s avengers black knight had no cape, he had that avengers jacket instead. Mi13 and classic BK do though.

I hope that he is on his way.

Star Lord most likely will use that body. Another boarder had started a custom of Star Lord and the body just matches soo perfectly.

The silhouette is hard to mistake. From the thighs, and upper body, even the arms, it all screams aim agent body.

I think the AIM body is amazing so I have no qualms with this.

well its kinda lame there will be two more spideys before some characters get one, at least these look to be good incarnations. Now that i look at it again maybe there just emphasizing scarlett spideys gear and being cheap using caps pouches. And whats with the massive gloves on that baghead?

This one is going to bug me...

All the others are fairly easy...

I would like to say Ben Reily..but ther is definately something more to this.

Noir would be cool and appropriate since the Spiderman game is coming up soon.

Capcom gave us a bomb shell with MvC3...I would like to see Hasbro give us the same Bombshell. MvC3 FIGURES...
