Yamato Fire Valkyrie Debut 7/25 And Weathered YF-19
I HONESTLY think (wait let me check) yep...i just wet myself. such awesome news! thanks!
Hi Shin,
Is both the Fire Kai and the Weathered YF-19 exclusives? Or is it just the weathered YF-19? And they are making only 300? Can you tell us ppl living outside of Japan how we can get our hands on it?
Did they say when Kai will be released? I see that YF-19 and fast pack isn't even released yet... so might be a while?

As for the Weathered YF-19, there are proxy sites who offer service in obtaining exclusives in Japan. Also, our site sponsor HLJ procures Yamato exclusives from time to time. I don't know if they will get the weathered YF-19, and it is limited to 300, only 20 will be sold on the 1st day of Wonderfest.
The Kai will probably be out next year...prototype has only been worked on for 5 months. Earliest release(kinda doubt it), would be fall but that's not too far away. I suspect spring 2011 at the latest, with February 2011 being a more realistic expectation.
It is a variant of the VF-19, but though the VF-19 was derived from the YF-19, the toys are going to be completely different. The overall silhouette of battroid mode is far different than the current 1/60 YF-19. I should probably add that Yamato's initial designs for the 1/60 YF-19 predated its release in 2006 by a couple of years. So just think, Yamato either started working on the Fire Valk at the tail end of 2009 or very early this year. As a toy, it will most likely smoke the current 1/60 YF-19, and if they make a V2 1/60 YF-19, it will smoke it even more.
One major thing I have come to learn about Yamato through the years, is that they improve, and outdo themselves, extremely quick. I got my VF-0 reissues this summer, and they already feel dated compared to later releases, like the V2 1/60 VF-1 and VF-11B.
tks for the detailed explanations as usual!
