Darth Maul looks ridiculous. I don't know if people saw the same movie I did, but last I checked, he got cut in half and fell down a freaking chasm.

My thoughts exactly. Well, actually my first thought was a little more strong:

"What the fuck is this? This looks fucking retarded."

Sorry, just have to say it.

@pud333 and scarecrow, so I assume by these comments neither of you have actually read the comic, which is actually quite popular?

The story wasn't just to hamfistedly squeeze Maul back into the Star Wars universe. It's actually about why Uncle Owen doesn't trust Ben. One of the better ret-conned stories in SW.

I agree. The storyline for this set was pretty awesome. Just check out the comic "Star Wars: Visionaries" and look for the Darth Maul story there.

I actually specified that I wanted someone to explain it to me, because whether or not it was made to make sense, it just looks DUMB. Just my two cents, nothing for flame bait.

This Wiki article does a decent job of summerizing it ("Old Wounds"). But it actually is a pretty good story and fits in well with established events, especially since the movies never showed Ben and Owen together, except for Luke getting dropped off as an infant. There's also Ben's habit of not telling Luke everything up front (Vader's your father, Leia's your sister, etc.).

But I agree Maul does look really goofy as a cross between his former Sith self and General Grievous.

I see. Man, I'm all for good story-telling, but man, couldn't they get a cooler set of legs for one of the coolest Sith ever?! Poor Darth Maul

Agreed. I mean, look what they gave Vader when Obi-Wan cut his legs off. Granted, Vader got to keep his original pelvis and thighs, but still.

That was a great story and this is a great figure. I love it.
