A mail-order promotion will be included in the May issue of Macross Chronicle, giving fans in Japan a chance to order the 1/60 VF-1A Angel Birds and Fan Racer Clear Version set! The 1/60 Angel Birds Valkyrie differs from it’s larger 1/48 predecessor by having what appears to be darker blue paint apps. It will also most likely sport an accurate head(the head on the 1/48 was DYRL? style; accurate TV VF-1A heads were not made until the promotion for the 1/48 VF-1A Max Custom TV Version), and come with TV style(larger & rounded) hands.
Seen together in the very 1st episode of Macross, the Fan Racer was used by Hikaru as he interrupted an Angel Birds demonstration and flew in formation with them. Click on the thumbnail to the left to take a closer look!
