Mattycollector has given us some updates on some of their lines including Masters of the Universe Classics and Retro Action Heroes:
So a few quickies. First we hear you on Moss Man and the ears. Fans seem split but here is what might be possible.
Mossy is already in production. If (and that is an ‘if”) we can effect a change it means some fans will get flocked ears, some no flock. And it will be random. Are you okay with that?
Second, we had a great meeting with Digital River today and it looks like the bugs have been worked out. We’ll also be updating the FAQ on the site to review the return policy as well as offer more information. If you are still having issues with an order, post your order number on Facebook and we’ll get it resolved.
We’re still looking into new shipping options and overseas distribution, but first we need to get all the kinks worked out before expanding to any new areas. The last thing we want to do is rush things.
The Retro Action Green Arrow is almost sold out. More Retro figures will be out this Spring at Toys R Us and other online retailers. We’ll have wave 2 to show at NYTF in Feb.

Aside from some great artistic interpretations of the MOTU world, you can also check out a display of all the MOTUC figures as well as some upcoming releases and a new figure to be revealed Friday night! We got in a new sample of Moss Man. Almost there. His fur is not quite the right color, so we're going to hold off until we have a more finished sample on this guy before posting.
I'm really looking forward to this figure primarily because of the 200X head sculpt.

I like how the flocking turned out. The new head is an improvement over Beast Man's.
^ That actually makes sense in a weird way. Of course, all that's going through my head when I look at the pic is this:

Looks pretty good, considering all the issues they had with the flocking dilemma.
So will he come with two different heads?
Yeah two heads. Many of these classic MoTU have two heads. I still can't believe this is how Mattel sells these though. It's horrible. They all get snapped up by stores/scalpers and sit in ebay purgatory until someone (like me) snaps and buys it for 2-5 times the price.

I agree that the new head makes him look like a primate. I'm glad that Toy Guru has confirmed that Mossy will smell though.... it just wouldn't be the same without that stink, even though it will be a slightly different odour to the 80s toy. I can't wait to take a sharp intake of breath when I open him up.
