Clone Wars Electronic Commander Rex And Vehicle Prototypes

Posted on December 30, 2009 at 5:51 pm by Shin Densetsu under Star Wars Toy News

Yong he Toys has posted images of an all new electronic Commander Rex figure from Clone Wars! It looks like it might lack leg articulation but since it’s a prototype, it may turn out different for final production. Other new Star Wars items shown include more images of new vehicles we showed you not too long ago:

  • Cloud Car
  • Snow Speeder
  • Swamp Speeder
  • Heavy Missle Platform droid gunship with opening cockpit

Looks like 2010 is shaping up to be a GREAT year for Empire Strikes Back fans! Hit the title bar to see more!

*EDIT*, the following have been posted up for auction:

  • TIE Crawler and early prototype
  • AT-ST with added weaponry as well as a blue prototype

So what is that Tie Crawler and At-ST? those are clearly not full 3-3/4" scale toys are they?

Maybe the Action Fleet is coming back? Then again, those are a bit big for that.

That AT-ST and TIE Crawler look like prototype molds for pieces from the Star Wars Miniatures Game.

    that's what I was thinking.

The electronic Commander Rex reminds me of Sigma 6 in a way. I'd pick it up if it has more articulation by final production.

Now the vehicles? I'm going to buy all of them...except maybe the Swamp Speeder, need to see more of it. The Heavy Missle Platform though...I LOVE it! Also need the Snowspeeder(never had one), and the new Cloud Car looks quite good. I dig the new weapons.

If they don't change the sculpt for that TIE Crawler I don't even want that thing near me.

Never seen it in action so I don't have an attachment to it. I wonder what scale it's in though.

Now the Cloud Car, Snow Speeder and HMP? BOUGHT! I really dig the updated Cloud Car.

That giant Rex looks awesome to me for some reason. Maybe it's the Helmet, I dunno.

I'd like some more articulation below the waist, though. The arms look decent though.
