Likely a running change in the packaging.

I understand that it's their 75th anniversary and all, but what's up with the pins being numbered up to 75? I highly doubt that they will release 75 figures in 2010. If the pins go into 2011 and beyond the number 75 will have no significance.

I wonder if they are planning on re-releasing all of the figures from the older waves once again in revision cases with the new packaging? If they were to do that then I could see them hitting that 75 figure mark for the year. This seems like a very unlikely senario though.

This will be worthless if they're just as hard to find this time as they were when they were first released.

This is probably one of the worse line-ups in the history of DCU. Most of these character would never be bought if it wasn't for the C&C Darkseid. I would love to have Darkseid, but I only want two of the figures from the series, Spectre and Dr. Mid-Nite. Desaad looks like a creep running around in a snuggie.

And the next wave maybe even worse with Cyclotron and a Trigon C&C. I had no idea who Trigon was. If they want a C&C, let them do Arkillo to have a someone to balance out the Sinestro Corps since now we a Kilowog C&C (which in my opinion is the best of the C&C next to Imperiex).

Desaad is a character that a lot of people have wanted for a very long time and for him to included in the Darkseid wave makes perfect sense. Trigon is another character that has played a major part in the history of the Teen Titans. It would not make any sense to have an Arkillo CnC figure because he isn't a character who has years of stories and character development compared to someone like Trigon and Darkseid. If anything, this being a classics line, it makes sense to do these older, obscure (to younger fans) characters.

Killer moth-Classic? Red and Blue Superman-Classic? I know Desaad makes sense, but I was talking about the entire wave. With Trigon, I have never read Teen Titans so I guess that is my fault, but the figures in the waves themselves are terrible. Again just one or two looks interesting.

In wave Thirteen they have figures of the new Blue Beetle and the Blue Devil. The Jaime Reyes version of BB is new, not classic. And Blue Devil is low card in my opinion. They are passing over other classics like Martian Manhunter, Zatanna, Alan Scott and others. If you want older and more obscure how about those I named and ones like Psycho Pirate, Hour-Man, the original Sandman. Any of those would be more interesting than the Blue Devil. Bring out those Golden Oldies to spark interest in those characters.

    I agree wholeheartedly.

Yes I would prefer some of the JSA figures as well. It will be great to have the legion though.

Definitely could have made better choices for their 75th Anniversary. Hopefully the next wave will be better.

Maybe a re-release of Gentleman Ghost, perhaps?

    Hey, I can dream, can't I?

Now, I know most will agree with me on this pick for C&C: Doomsday.

He was one of the most important villians in DC history and he had years of story material. We really do need a new version of him due to fact that the DCSH version is just too small for the Classics. He could be Despero-sized, maybe a tad-bit shorter but broad and menacing. You could through any list of characters in that line and people would buy it just for him.

I agree doomsday would be great. But i see him more Kilowog's size than despero

I don't know. If you look at him sometimes in his battle with Superman he isn't as big as that.

  18. Ghost Story's Avatar Ghost Story says

    01-13-2010, 06:50 PM

thats true. I guess I was thinking of some of the shots that portray him as huge. And certainly the JLU made him massive, But I think he needs to be a bit bigger than despero.

the kilowog body would also be great for Blok from the legion.

  19. GearsFreak86's Avatar GearsFreak86 says

    01-13-2010, 08:48 PM

I think height would need to be in between despero and Kilowog, but he needed to be more massive than tall. I say half an inch taller than despero with most of the Kilowog size would be perfect. He couldn't be as tall as Imperiex though.

And i agree with Kilowog body for Blok. That would be perfect.

  20. Ghost Story's Avatar Ghost Story says

    01-14-2010, 07:38 AM

yes that would be the perfect Doomsday the way you describe. yes with Bloc swap the head . fill in the ring on the mold and he is Bloc. i thnk bloc only had a few fingers. as for the wrinkles in the clothes they could put that blue outfit on him he wore.

Ill be getting: Copperhead, Desaad, Eclipso, Iron, Mary Batson. I have none of these four characters in six inch form.

I already have Dr Midnite and Spectre in DC Direct form........but still might get them just to complete Darkseid.

    NSP

p.s. I second the vote for Apache Chief being a BAF!
