Marvel Universe Secret Wars Comic Packs Wave 2 Released

Posted on September 14, 2009 at 9:55 pm by Shin Densetsu under Marvel Toy News

Hot on the heels of the recently released Marvel Universe Secret Wars Comic Packs wave 1, comes the release of wave 2! This wave has been sighted at Target stores and should be trickling into other stores soon. The sets in this wave include:

  • Magneto & Spiderman(symbiote costume)
  • Hulk & Cyclops
  • Spider Woman & Iron Man
These packs, like the 1st wave, feature repainted figures, a few retooled figures, and the 1st Magneto and Cyclops figures in the Marvel Universe line! Happy hunting!

Inspect the figures carefully guys, I'm noticing inconsistent quality just like on the 1st wave. I found an Iron Man set with the elbow peg that wasn't pushed into the forearm all the way on one side...it wasn't even IN the forearm on that side to be exact.

Also, never noticed this before but Cyclops' arms are incredibly short!

YES! I cant wait to find these in stores...Now I just gotta wait for the Wal-Mart packs to ever be released. For those of you who have found these, what state are you in?

Tempted by Magneto and Spider-woman, but I really don't want a second Classic Iron Man or Black Spidey.

Black Spidey isn't bad although not much different. Spidey Woman rocks!
Cyclops sucks (short arms, really really short), stick with the XMO version, it is much better. Neon Green Hulk is a pass, looks weird, like he would glow in the dark (which might not be bad). Magneto pales in comparison with the SHS version. In fact the SHS 2 pack with Magneto/Colossus is just leaps and bounds better than the new comparable versions.
Iron Man redux is a complete waste. I don't even know what to do with the figure. Ideas anyone?

Cyclops isn't short at all, not sure what you're comparing him to, his arms also are not short

I saw these Secret Wars wave 2 comic packs at some Walmarts around Houston Texas this past Saturday. I almost got a set but decided to wait until they hit my local stores.

The arms looks short to me, especially compared to other MU figures.

I can back up this statement. The arms are much shorter than any of the MU figures thus far. One arm is fixed in the package to make it look as if Cyc is touching his visor and the other is in a fist. It looks like they shortened the arm so that the "Pose" would work and then made the other arm the same length as an afterthought. Unfortunately this gives Cyclops a Thalidomide baby look. OK no-points for my crassness there.

    Thank you very much,

I really like all the figures but I do not see much difference in arm length for Cyc.

Once I have some shelving I will be able to display them all. It's going to be awsome!

    Thanks again Kluster Bombs.
