First, thanks for responding to fan questions.

What was the reasoning behind starting the MU figures over at 001 for Series 2? It seems a missed opportunity to clue new buyers into the fact that there were X number of figures made before the one they bought.

Will Mary Jane Watson for sure be released in MU 2010 or is there any chance of moving her to a Spider-man Classic 3.75 line in 2010 leaving room for another costumed hero in MU? Seems like she doesn't really need the card art, articulation and Fury File of an MU superhero.

    1. The 2009 Marvel Universe line centered around the Shield theme and we were offered a mail-away Nick Fury figure, who is quite bad ass, by the way. We know that the line will center on HAMMER for 2010. Are there plans to offer another mail-away figure that ties in to this concept? Perhaps Norman Osborn in business suit, or as Iron Patriot?

    2. In 2010 the G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra line will turn into Pursuit of Cobra. Will Pursuit of Cobra run through the entire year or will another sub-line, i.e. Revenge of Cobra, be introduced? How long will each line be out before another is introduced? (Keep making and I'll keep buying)

    1. Is there any chance of making a Marvel Universe figure that was already made in the X-Men Origins Wolverine line? Deadpool, Gambit?

    2. Scarlet Spider, Venom or Carnage? Or will they be saved for the new Spider-Man line?

    3. More unique characters like Morbious, Batroc, Machine Man, Man-Thing and Taskmaster.

The Sienna Miller depiction of Baroness on the SDCC exclusive 12" Baroness was excellent. Is there any chance of a Rachel Nichols 12" Scarlett in the future? Also, have we seen the end of GIJoe Mighty Muggs?

What are the remaining fan poll figures? The last two supposed to be announced at SDCC.

Will we see X-23, Darkhawk and nova prime in 2010?

Will there be a way to get stands for the 2009 MU series figures?

Can we get any thoughts on the Disney Marvel merger? And how this may or may not effect our wonderful figures?

I don't think Hasbro/Marvel will answer GI Joe questions.

I don't know if these have been answered but I appriciate the time Hasbro takes in listening to the fans.

    1. Will we see the new 2010 MU stands available at HasbroToyShop.com soon? I think it would be only fair since I already have about 20 figures that have no stands.

    2. I am glad you are hitting very obscure characters such as Gaurdian and Iron Fist, it makes me happy to see these characters get made so early in the line. I understand that it is difficult to target children with such obsqurity but can we see some team packs? Alpha Flight, Gaurdians of the Galaxy, Star Jammers, etc. I understand that anything is a posibiliy but, has the team working on the Marvel Universe line considered this? and is it viably a marketable solution to providing fans with what they want at a considerable cost? Please persue this.

This line has been sold out almost everywhere I go. About 5 towns over and about 10-15 Walmarts and Targets I am lucky if I find 5 figures on the shelf at any given time. GIVE THE FANS WHAT THEY DESERVE! (please)

Would Hasbro ever consider releasing a new Marvel Legends figure on HasbroToyShop.com bi-monthly or every few months or so? From what I've heard, apparently AOA Sunfire did not sell extremely well, Probably because while many people wanted a Marvel Legends Sunfire, about half the fanbase wanted the AOA version and the other half wanted a classic Sunfire. So I don't believe AOA Sunfire was an accurate gauge as to how well highly demanded Marvel Legends Figures could sell at HTS. While the upcoming 2010 wave of Legends Two-Packs just announced is nice, One wave of ML Two-Packs a year just isn't enough for many of us. Most Legends collectors would love to get some new Legends through HTS.

    1. Are there any plans to release new figures of characters that were in the Wolverine movie line like Deadpool,Gambit,Sabertooth,Colossus, etc.?

    2. Are we gonna get some rereleases of older and harder to find figures like Bullseye,Black Panther,Silver Surfer, X-Force Wolverine, etc.?

    3. The black color on some figures looks more like like dark blue, are there any plans to rectify this?

    4. Like everyone else I would like to see som of the more obscure marvel characters, can we get a way to let our voises be heard like an online survey?

    here are my questions:

1 with the purchase of marvel by Disney will this have any adverse effects on future and up coming releases of figure lines such as Iron Man film figures.

    2. Is there a time slot that we can expect to see the New Iron man 2 figure line that we saw the sampling of at SDCC will hit stores, I for one have been greatly looking forward to this line in particular, repaints included.

Thanks for looking at the fans questions and hope to hear some answers.

    1) Will there be any future changes like additional accessories/weapons for the Marvel Universe figures, like alternative hands for wolverine and others; alternative heads for masked/unmasked characters; added weapons, blast effects, debris for characters like the hulk, punisher, or sunfire?

    2) Is there any future polls to decide the current interest in what figures the fans want most, much like the previous poll held on Hasbro.com/marvel?

    3) Will there be any future waves of the Marvel Universe figures that don't feature a Wolverine/ Logan figure?

  16. Johnnyakiba's Avatar Johnnyakiba says

Definately think we should get unmasked characters, or at least an extra head for it.

Dude, really? I loved your first two questions, however, if your question was implying that Wolverine is excessive, then in this line he is, so far, not nearly as excessive as others. Let's review the most excessive in this line.

    So far:

Spiderman has 7 (up to first wave of 2010 figs): 2 in series 1, 2 black suit (series 3/Secret Wars), Spidey and friends 3 pack and series 5 spidey, House of M spidey in 2010. Total 7 variants.

Iron Man has a total of 5 variants up to series 5 (including his three pack variant) + 1 for the remolded head in the Gigantic battles pack. Total 6 variants.

3 Johhny Storm/Human Torch variants (in series 1 alone) + 1 Invaders SDCC and 1 Secret Wars. That brings JS/HT to a total of 5 different variants.

Hulk has 4 total Variants: Green, Grey, Red and new head mold for Secret Wars.

Captain America has a total of 3 variants: Ultimate Cap, Classic Cap(Invaders/Scret Wars), and Bucky Cap in the Gigantic Battles pack.

Wolverine has a total of 3 variants: X-Force, classic (Secret Wars), Xaiver School (first wave 2010).

So there you have it. Sure wolverine just had his own 3.75" movie line, but how is that any different from Spidey, Hulk and Iron man who also had their own movie lines as well? Not to mention that Iron man 2 is going to sport a 3.75" movie toy line as well and Spidey will also get his own 3.75" line next year.

If you don't like the Wolverine character, that's your perogative, but asking this question to Marvel is just way too unsubstantiated, especially when you already had four waves that didn't feature Wolverine.

That asside, here are my questions:

1.) There have been numerous accounts of damaged figures from the Secret Wars 2-packs such as, wrists that break off due to stuck joints or warped appendages like the ankles of Captain America due to their position in the packaging. Given the success and popularity of the MU line, thus far, what is being done to minimize the defects from the manufacturing line, to ensure your valued customers recieve a very good quality figure?

2.) Will any future figures in the MU line have a head that can be articulated to look up, without popping off the head?

3.) Are there any future plans to release any "Marvel Teams" gift sets in the MU line as either a convention or store exclusive? If no, would Marvel consider the possibility?

    1) Will you be offering multi-figure packs (2,3,5) of the same army builder? Getting a few different ones at once is nice, but let's face it, the good guys are always outnumbered. It doesn't take an army of SHIELD soldiers to take on an army of HYDRA goons; it takes two or three.

    2) What are the chances of seeing comic accurate HYDRA goons down the road? The costume selection from the Brood Queen series of Marvel Legends is 100% what I think when I hear them mentioned. I'd love to see that style figure in MU.

    3) While the inclusion of stands with the 2010 MU figures is awesome and exciting, why do you feel the need to have the character's name on the stand? Do you receive positive feedback for this? I feel like I don't need a reminder of what figure I bought when looking at my shelf, and if I did, I wouldn't have bought them. It seems like you create more work for yourselves than necessary.

    4) Any chance we'll be seeing flight stands for the MU figures soon?

    Thanks!
    SD

with disney buying marvel, can we still hope/expect for hasbro to still extend the license for marvel toys beyond its current agreement 2017?

its been tough to get a MU nick fury.. will there be other methods on obtaining it? especially for other countries

we saw alot of new mighty muggs at sdcc like deadpool.. some were even from last year.. like the removable mas spider-man..will we ever see mass releases of these? also some are very hard to find like thor. hope it gets released again.

can we have another round of voting on which character gets to become a toy for MU? im not sure but i think this happens for Star wars figs quite regularly

more of a general comment but how the heck did you guys choose which characters gets to be released on the secretwars 2 packs? releasing 2 spider-mans , one version that has been released alot of times and another a symbiote version who also just got release the same year in the MU wave.. another wolverine who just had his own toyline when you guys also say sometimes that "we cant release character X when his character has just been released in another toyline" (prime example when someone asked about a possible TFA cyclonus toy).. even the ironman didnt have a slight retool(that happened in the comics) when this was actually james rhodes in it.seems like a wasted chance for other characters like titania, vulcana, molecule man or even capt marvel, abosrbing man and kang. i hope you guys learn from this in the future comic packs

1-Will we get an Astonishing X-Men/Civil War Wolverine? That's his current X-Men costume and is fairly popular.

2-How about the classic Tiger Stripe Wolverine?

3-Can we expect a Dark Avengers Battle Pack?

4-Will we see New Captain America in the Marvel Legends line?

5-The top 3 figures for the new Marvel Legends for next year were announced last month, who will they be paired with in the upcoming 2 packs?

    1. Why haven't we seen any of the fan poll winners at 09 SDCC?

    2. Now that SPIDERMAN and IRONMAN will have their own 3 3/4 line dose this mean Marvel Universe will not put out so many of them?

    3. Can we expect every Marvel movie to have its own toy line? if so will they all be 3 3/4 scale?

    4. What will be the price tag on Galactus and the rest of the Gigantic Battles set? and when can we expect them to hit retail?

    5. Whats up with the comic packs every one that I saw was JACKED UP!!!! I've seen same body parts on Wolvie, Caps legs not attach, BAD PAINT LIKE I MEAN REALLY BAD PAINT!!! Comics bent and strapless shield. Can HASBRO confirm that they wanted to make them as cheap as possible to save a buck on the comic packs?

    6. Why are the toysRus exclusive so damn expensive? I live in Hawaii but $36.00 not including tax come on!!!!!!!!!!!

I gotta agree, the QC process on the SW line needs to be cranked up about 10 notches, the paint apps are nearly terrible and have of them have backwards or wrong body parts. Dont get me wrong i love the line but being a loyal collector this really needs addressed.

Also, any chance of a modern War Machine anytime soon? and Ghost Rider and Darkhawk!!
