The Toyark has received our responses to our monthly Transformers Q n A from Hasbro. Check out this months answers below
Q. Are there any plans to expand the Human Alliance sub-series to include human / robot pairings from past Transformers series?
A. We certainly share your excitement for this new addition to the Transformers line. As with everything new, we need to gauge how it performs in the market before deciding how we want to move forward with the line.
Q. Are there any plans to make more appliance based Transformers such as the Dyson Vaccuum cleaner or the Mountain Dew vending machine “Dispensor” from the first movie?
A. While we certainly share your excitement in some of the new alternate forms that have come about as a result of our two live action movies, we unfortunately do not have any plans to do either the Dyson Vaccuum or Dispensor at this time.
Q. Does the continuation of a Generation 1 reissue line of Transformers depend upon its popularity at Toys R Us? If the line turns out not to be viable in retail stores, would it be possible to offer a reissue line for sale through either HasbroToyShop.com or the Official TF Collector’s Club?
A. When it comes to G1 re-issues, we deal with these on an individual by individual basis. These re-issues are not dependent upon their popularity or success at any specific retailer, but more on what makes sense for the line and our retail partners. Each year we determine which G1 re-issues make sense for re-issue making sure that it ties in with our goals and objectives for a given year. For example, we felt the best way to truly celebrate one of our great heritage characters in our 25th Anniversary was to make the re-issue of Soundwave available at this year’s Comic Con. Additionally, we are also wanted to make two other G1 re-issues, Perceptor and the Insecticons, available at Toys R’ Us.
Toyark's August Transformers QnA From Hasbro
Huh. Hasbro certainly knows the value of sharing.
But at least there were some solid answers in there. Looks like Dispensor's getting the shaft again and Ejector will have to remain the lone appliance-bot.
I wish there was better news in terms of Reissues. But it's good to hear that they look at the options each year for the line. I just hope more are to come.
Hopefully the marvel Q & A will have some answers I care about. Cause hasbro is starting to slowly lose my interest in TFs with all the rumors floating around.
I think in all seriousness there's only 3 new molds from ROTF I even want now.
The remaining two bikes, and the ICT.
Though I may start getting human alliance just because it's a sweet scale.
It'd be nice if we could get some more tidbits about Universe besides the repaints coming. Of which I'm only getting powerglide.
So it's only 3 questions?
Anyways, this QnA was blah. First two answers sounded like they were fed by a computer generated response.
Answer about reissues doesn't sit well with me either. I understand that Takara is more collector-oriented with their product, but come on...only if it fits in to Hasbro's plans will a reissue be considered? Come on....take chances here and there. Do something unexpected. This is especially true with items that are store exclusives.
Yeah. I hate what's going on here. Seems Hasbro is responding more corporate PR BS than ever.
On the other hand, I wonder if the plans they're making concerning their Discovery team-up are keeping them busy. Maybe they just have nothing of any consequence to report until all that's finalized.
Well you also have to keep in mind, this is the month they are busy doing the discussions of 'what's next'. So the answers today are going to be rather light and nonexistant for a lot of stuff.
The one thing to be hopeful on though, is that now that Hasbro has their own station, things will start getting brighter and brighter. Just right now is like the extremely early stages of what's next. We've already seen most of what we'll be getting till next summer. After that, well it's still being designed and thought out right now.
Universe officially ended may 30th of this year, so that's gone for now. All that's left is the ROTF figures to come, Animated's final waves, and the Universe Repaints that are left. Other than that, everything else is being discussed, including aesthetics.
Like if they do a classics like toon, what's the need for universe? If they do a movie style toon, what's the need to continue the ROTF line past it's finish point? Etc. This month represents them deciding all these factors. They probably aren't even at the sketch designing point, let alone anywhere near the engineering point.
Since they are still gauging the success of human alliance, it's too early to even tell it's future as yet. It is just this month hitting shelves.

They share our enthusiasm a lot it seems.
To bad we couldn't get some better answers. I know they can't until they finalize things, but throw us a bone here!
HA figs seem to be selling well so far, hopefully it continues, as I have kind of lost interest in ROTF stuff, but I do like those.
If I hear Hasbro say "makes sense" one more time I'm going to lose it!
What the hell does it even mean to say that one toy "makes sense" for one store and not another.
I wish Hasbro would explain why they believe that any one toy "makes sense" to sell in any one store.

Q: How many Human Alliance figures are scheduled for the Revenge of the Fallen toy line? And when you decide to end the Revenge of the Fallen toy line, is there any chance that this fan-popular sub-line will continue? There are still plenty of human and not-so human characters that could use toys. Like Daniel with Arcee, Spike with Hot Rod, or Una and Chak with Transmetal Cheetor!
A: Currently, we have announced five figures for the Human Alliance line, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Autobot Skids, Barricade and Mudflap. Outside of these announced figures, we are already investigating other characters and pairings that would make sense for the line. As a whole, humans have always played an important part within the Transformers fantasy, especially in the two live action films. With that in mind, we have tried to bring those relationships to life in toy form. We are eager to see what the reaction to the line will be and will base our future decisions on where this line goes based on these results.
And the fastest way to end the HA subline is to announce an Arcee version with Daniel, because she is the ultimate line-killer. For that reason, I'd rather they do Bumblebee w/Spike (Classics-style subcompact, not VW) and Hot Rod w/Daniel.
Other HA release I'd like to see done include Movie Prime w/Cullen (but labeled as a "Holo-Driver"), G1 Prime w/Sparkplug, G1 Wheeljack w/Chip, Starscream w/Dr. Archeville, G1 Tracks w/Raoul (heh), and maybe even ARM Hot Shot w/Jolt (maybe it will be a really good toy this time).
The Universe Legends figure is probably about as close as they can get to the VW Beetle. I think the Bug's shape is just too unique for them to get away with much. And you know how skittish Hasbro Legal can be about lawsuits (unless they're the ones who file them).
