Yamato has announced their Macross 7 1/60 scale VF-22S Sturmvogel II & Macross Plus 1/60 scale YF-19 repaints! The YF-19 repaints are the Bird of Prey(white w/orange trim), and the Double Nuts(CAG version molded in brighter colors than the first 1/60 YF-19 release).
The VF-22S is a surprise, as Yamato has not been able to make a toy of this design until now, due to not having a license. A 1/72 version in Max Jenius‘ colors was planned, and even shown in ads overseas over 5 years ago. It differs from the YF-21 by having an all new head, canopy, and other parts. It also had conventional flight controls, as opposed to the mind-controlled YF-21.
The Bird of Prey repaint of the YF-19 is similar to the Super Nova paint schemes seen on customized models, and fans have wanted to see the 1/60 YF-19 repainted in those colors for years.

I hope we see a YF-19 with blue trim instead of orange, always preferred the blue. The VF-22S is a welcome surprise! Hell yeah!
I might buy the Bird of Prey one if there aren't any issues with it.
The CAG actually looks pretty good, I'm impressed by the level of articulation on the 19's, I knew they were poseable, but man those poses that Yamato put them in look great! These are expensive...nearly $200 for the 19's, and over $200 including shipping for the 22S most likely..
*SIGH*

The days of >$200 are coming to an end.

The 22 is a must buy. I'm on the fence with the 19s though. If they took the red out of the double nuts I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
