TOYARK Top 5 Toys Of The Week

G.I. Joe Resolute Cobra Trooper - With the release of G.I. Joe Resolute last night and the already hot market for the Resolute Cobra Trooper the demand for this figure and anything with the Resolute Tag just went up 10 fold! Good luck locating this figure in the wild.

DC Universe Classics Batman - I think this is one of the best BatMan figures ever made. The style is right in the middle mix of old and new. If I can ever find one I will buy it.

Masterpiece Cyclone #1 - Scott Bernard - I was young enough to remember Robotech and all the cool Robot goodness that came out of the series. To me this Cyclone will always be apart of Robotech, and one of the best toys from that line.

TFcon Toronto 2009 Exclusive Powered Commander - With the release date of this set coming up at this years TFCON Toronto (Next Weekend) April 25th this is one set, that people who own the Magnus Armor, know its a must have for Classics collector's.

Ratchet Transformers Universe Classics 2.0 - The rumor is this figure has been released, I still have not seen this figure out in the wild and eVil Bay may be our only chance to pick this one up. The launch of the ROTF toys is quickly approaching and retailers are clearing out Universe.

Runner up of the week - Mighty Muggs Destro........or lack of! I hope Hasbro does a second run because he is gone and so is The Baroness. These 2 are some of the best Muggs to date. MORE!

DCUC Batman? Sorry, I have to respectfully disagree. He was maybe a Top 5 figure in early 2008 when wave 1 DCUC was everywhere. DCUC Batman will be clogging shelves in the coming months due to the fact he is in the 7A, 8A, 8B, AND the Best of Wave 1 case assortments. If any DCUC figure deserves to be in the Top 5 this week, it is DCUC Flash as wave 7 is still trickling out to stores and the figure is the Flash that everyone has been waiting years for.

I do absolutely agree with you on the rest, especially the Joe Resolute figures, I just hope stores get some more wave 13 in before the movie toys are put out. I have also yet to see Joe Mighty Muggs wave 2 Destro and Baroness in stores and I'm looking forward to getting them. I have seen a couple TFU Ratchets (got 1 myself) and he is the first figure to sell from that case assortment. I've noticed this past year or so that retail stores are getting newer product in later and later in my area. If you don't see an item usually within 6 months of the initial sighting, it probably ain't gonna make it to the store. However, its waiting the 3-6 months for it to get there that is annoying.

I would have to swap one of those out with the Build N Brawl Sgt. Slaughter. GI Joe fans everywhere are scambling to get this so that they can finally have a 25th style Slaughter!!

Do the Build N Brawl heads pop-off and attach to the 25th-modern ball joint?

That slaughter came out awesome. I bought one for the same reason. What legs did you use?

My TRU had a MM Destro on the shelf as of yesterday. Was on there two days. I could pick it up for you, if you want to!

And as for the topic at hand: GREAT, just what I need....the Cobra Trooper getting some more recognition(especially with Resolute). Means finding them at the store will be even harder and ebay prices will go up! LOL

Agreed. I have a few of the other super articulated 6" Batman figures that Mattel has made in the past, and the classic one in my opinion, is the best. Best range of motion(not hindered like previous versions), classic colors, and the joints are just right; not too tight, not too loose.

One of the best Universe figures, shares most of his parts with Ironhide but after handling both, Ratchet is definitely the better of the 2. Plastic doesn't look or feel cheap, and though it's predominantly the same mold save for the head and vehicle lights, it feels like a huge step up in quality.

This figure was hard as hell to find before(only seen it twice, even the Paraviper was easier to find), and after Resolute premiered yesterday I imagine it won't be any easier to find. This mold is great, blows away the normal 25th Cobra Troopers/Officers in my opinion, better range of motion all around, sculpted hair, bigger helmet, good weapons and vest. I am buying the movie Firefly primarily because the body he uses is the Resolute Trooper mold. Though troopers are cannon fodder, this is one of the best figures in wave 13.

Looks great AND has new missles to place on the shoulder as an homage to the original Diaclone Powered Convoy toy.

I went ahead and bought my troopers off HTS. Avoiding the trouble(and spent gas) going to stores and finding nothing.

Love the Cobra Trooper. Found him yesterday but I haven't bought a Joe toy(minus the $5 Conquest) in a couple months so I passed. Also love the Batman, and is that an Ultra Magnus like guy or Ultra Magnus in red? I've never heard of "Powered Commander"

A homage to the Diaclone Powered Convoy, preorders of this figure are already being sold for $250 on Ebay.

The reason? This TFcon exclusive is limited to only 500 pieces and people wanting to buy the toy without going to the convention are being told that it is only being sold to attendees of the event.

If you want a Ratchet, let me know. We've put out 3 cases this week...and have plenty of Ratchets as of yesterday.

The Toys R Us here in Miami had a bunch of Ratchets on the pegs. So I wouldn't worry too much. He should be showing up everywhere.
