In a world filled with supernaturally powered criminals and thugs, none are more feared than the ninja warriors of THE HAND. Every one of them is a supreme fighter, devoted utterly to the will of THE HAND. When they are given a target, they never stop, never rest, and never surrender until it is tracked down and destroyed.

Not a bad start if Marvel Universe is going to have army builder figures. There is room for improvement on the design of the figure but the sculpt and the paint apps are on-point. As you can see these are taller then the G.I. Joe 25th Red Ninja's and have less articulation.
I don't like the molded plastic vest over the hips. Much like Ronin the articulation is cut down by the stiff plastic used around the hip articulation. I also do not like punched out hands (at least not both) that are molded shut and no back holster for the sword.
Before you go buying 10+ Hand Ninja's I would pick up one and make sure they fit into you collection plans. Its perfect for a nice background ninja but for me it's not a very good builder.
i didn't notice before that he's a Ronin repain with a new head. The Red Ninja's actually closer to 'on model' for a Hand Ninja. I like the Ronin Mold, but it's a bit large compared to the other figures.
I like him, though I agree the Red Ninja is better for army-building. Luckily, I'm not into that, but I will pick one up for the Fury Files collection.
Damn if I'm not going completionist on these. Hopefully I'll snag a Gray Hulk soon. He's the only wave 2 figure I'm missing.

Hand-Ninja does look rad but I have to agree, Red Ninja is far better. I've never been much of a completionist, so I'm glad that I'm not bound to spending a lot of money on these. The prices vary so much in my vicinity that it's hard to afford them.
It's particularly easy to pass them up compared to GI Joes because there are few things in GI Joe I legitimately hate, but there are lots of things about Marvel that I hate, specifically characters like Hulk(though the size of that figure in the regular packaging is awesome to me).
Instead of picking up a single Red Ninja, I would recommend this pack:
G.I. Joe Troop Builder Snake Eye vs. Red Ninja - Hasbro - Toys "R" Us
That way none of them have Cobra logos on them.
I like the picture with the Cobra Red Ninja.
(I also like the picture with the Hulk)
So, I picked him up the other day and he's basically a red Ronin with a hood and green eyes. I like him, but as I mentioned earlier, I definitely won't be getting more than one. He does pull off a very good kow tow, though.
Aside from the skirt issue, the only other thing that bothers me about HN is he comes with a naginata as well as both of Ronin's weapons. Now I'm all for tons of accessories, but I want somewhere they can be incorporated into the figure/stand/whatever. Not just as some random extra part I might lose later on.
I agree with Destro that a sheath for his katana or even the tanto would have been helpful. Anything to give him a free hand to deal with that naginata.
