Tamashii had their VF100’s 1/100 VF-25F Messiah Alto Custom on display at their Tamashii Nations event at Akiba. Moeyo covered this event, and covered this toy from many angles. This toy is set for release later this month.
Utilizing parts swapping for transformation, it emphasizes aesthetics more than the larger DX toy, while being more affordable. This is an affordable alternative to the model kit, for those of you who don’t like building models or lack the time to do so.

Giving fans a variety of choices to choose from Bandai is releasing three different representations of the VF-25 Messiah from Macross Frontier:1/72 plamo(plastic model kits, 1/100 swap tranformation toys, & DX 1/60 perfect transformation toys). Pictured is the VF-25 from the VF100s line of 1/100 scale swap transformation toys.
These toys are more accurate than their perfect transformation counterparts, at the cost of utilizing swappable parts for transformation. This is ideal for the fan who wants a more accurate and cheaper toy than the DX, something tougher than the plamo, but does not want to build the model kit. The VF-25 is not the only valkyrie planned for this series, the VF-1, YF-21, SV-51, VF-4, YF-19 are amongst the valkyries listed on the initial ads, and the Macross II logo was shown as well. Macross II has been a long neglected segment of the Macross franchise, and there are a good number of VF-2SS fans out there. With modern technology there is no doubt that if Bandai made a VF100s VF-2SS, it would be far superior to the 1/100 plamo they made of the VF-2SS more than 10 years ago.
This is awesome news.....I'm thinking about jumping into the 1/100th scale line, and this would suit me just fine!
Question for you though Shin...where would I go to buy these?....can you recommend a place or two?
Coolies!!

Thanks
BBTS has them, but Focker is sold out.

Like you said before, Shin, he is bound to show up again sooner or later.
It took me forever to amass my somewhat small Macross Roy collection. especially ones that have fast packs.
Worth the wait, though.
Hey OS...is that a Toynami 1/100th scaled Fokker in your collection pic?
If so, how you like him?....pretty cool?...any complaints or issues?

I still need the 1/100 and the 1/60, but I am not in a super rush. Probably get the 1/100 when I can, but the 1/60 is too much $ for me this time of year.

I can afford to be "meh" about the $20 though
GA Graphic has uploaded new images of the VF100s VF-25F Alto type, and had a chance to handle a sample. Click here to check them out!
My goodness, that is nice!
Man...that is tight!!....cant wait!!
Very nice to have an affordable option.
Can't wait to display this next to my Gundams and jet fighter planes.

these just keep looking better and better...
beautiful sexy stuff!
Update!
I think I'm going to end up swallowing my non-partsforming pride and end up getting a couple of these. I'm on such a Frontier kick lately that I probably wont be able to resist. I'm even considering buying the gashapons, and I rarely ever buy non-articulated figures....
Tamashii Nations Coverage
I am getting that 1/100 VF-25, I love the 1/60, too, but can't afford that now, but I am all over this one!
Fire Valkyrie & More!
The proportions on the VF-19 don't seem too flattering in that poster, but hopefully that's just a case of bad angle. It needs a slightly squatter torso and beefier legs. The partsforming 1/100 Model Kits from way back when looked absolutely phenomenal with regard to the battroid mode proportions.

Looking forward to this release and more. I am not a big fan of parts-formers, but hell the Fire Valkyrie is a good design, and I need a replacement for my plamo which is now in pieces. Unlike the plamo, this will stand the test of time.
