Empire has posted an exclusive look at the official images of the Soundwave & Bumblebee figures from the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen preview wave! This wave will be released before the official toyline’s release in late may, however the exact date is not known yet. We saw loose samples of these figures a few months back. In these pictures we can see Soundwave’s Cybertronian jet mode, as well as the retooled parts on Bumblebee, including his gun, head, & right arm.

Grr... The squatness of Soundwave really annerves me, but I just can't pass it up. Even as a midget, the movie version of Soundwave looks AWESOME.
That Bumblebee doesn't look half bad either.
We've seen the ROTF Ravage in the trailer. It would be neat if he interfaced with Soundwave in some way, an old G1 homage.
Soundwave has been on my very short ROTF must-buy list since the beginning. Bumblebee, I'm not so sure. I bought so many of the Concept Camaro mold, I don't know if I'm even willing to get another. Especially since he lost his battle mask again.
I cannot stand the movie designs. I think I own a total of 5-6 toys from the first movie line. But I know I'll end up buying any Soundwaves that come out for this on principle alone. He's my favorite. And as much as they've bastardized him, I must collect him. *shakes fist*
When is the supposed street date for these dudes?
There was some timeline given for the ROTF release dates. The mainline comes out in late May, and the preview wave duo about a month before. I'll try digging out the exact dates.
May 29th is the official street date for ROTF toys. So I guess these would be due out sometime at the end of April.
Sadly, May 29th also marks the end of the Animated toyline.
Not a big fan of these designs in toy form myself. Probably won't be picking these up, I only plan to pickup leader Megatron from this line.
