Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen Forklift

Posted on December 12, 2008 at 10:51 am by Shin Densetsu under Transformers Toy News

A new scout class figure from the upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie toyline has been revealed. The current identity of this figure is unknown, but it is painted in the familiar Constructicon color scheme, and might be Dirtboss or Scrapper. This figure is based on Scrapper, one of the drones from the Transformers movie game released last year.

Kinda neat looking. I wonder if he merges to form Devestator?

Doubtful. He's not one of any of the alt modes listed in previous reports and he looks like he's based on one of the drones from the video game. I think he's probably another new scout class figure.

Oh God.... Another year of crappy movie transformers.... And here I was just getting excited again about collecting transformers. Oh well the few "classics" that I managed to score will have to do until I guess 2010/11. Hmmmm... I wonder how much Gobots are going for on eBay these days......

    Here we go again......

The owl-like head just looks weird. A Beast Wars toy with such a helmet design could've worked but on that body it's just an odd mix imo.

i wouldn't panic just yet. In the recent Toy Fare magazine they did an article about the upcoming Universe toys. Hasbro's Bill Rawley says they plan on continuing Universe. Hopefully they don't take too long after Revenge of the Fallen leaves theaters.

But i must say, although i wasn't hardcore into the movie toys, they did help bring the Transfomers back into the spotlight and made Hasbro alot of money. This in turn helped the brand over all and allowed the Classics/Universe to return.

It sucks for those who enjoy non movie Transformers, but from a business standpoint it makes sense. But if you don't like the movie stuff, think of it this way, your wallet gets a rest.

Yup, don't love the movie toys as much as others I sold most of mine but did keep a few I liked.

I don't plan to get too many this time around, but I'm sure I will grab a few when I see them, if I like them.

I only bought Leader class Prime, Starscream and Ratchet from the movie. The main focus of my TF buying is Optimus and Starscream so I felt obliged, although I really dug Ratchet.

Unless they do something radically different for Prime and Scream, I probably will pass on the movie toys completely.

Yeah, I don't know how different Prime will be, but he will be able to combine with Jetfire, which I still don't know what that will be, but if it tips my awesome scale, I will get it.

Really trying to lay off the movie toys, I gotta cut somewhere.

I desire this forklift hard. >.< I love his whole tonfafork deal.

Really really not seeing him as a Devastator component though- I kinda think people are going that way based entirely on the use of green. XD
