Frankensteins Monster and Bride of Frankenstein

Funko posted a new pic showing a couple of upcoming Universal Horror ReAction Figures. As part of the August 30th Frankenstein Day (that’s a thing apparently), they released pics of their Frankenstein’s Monster and Bride of Frankenstein ReAction Figures. This is our first look at the, likely, production versions of the figures. Both are due out later this month. The full Universal Horror ReAction line-up is:

  • The Mummy (Regular and Glow-In-The-Dark Variant)
  • Creature From The Black Lagoon (Regular and Glow-In-The-Dark Variant)
  • Dracula
  • The Wolfman
  • Invisible Man
  • Phantom of the Opera
  • Frankenstein’s Monster
  • Bride of Frankenstein

Science Fiction Mystery Minis 2

Funko has released images of a series of upcoming Science Fiction Mystery Minis. The blind boxed series looks to collect some of the most iconic characters from sci-fi movies throughout history. Included are:

  • Metaluna Mutant
  • Robocop
  • Spock
  • Classic Predator – Standard, Bloody and Translucent
  • ET
  • The Rocketeer
  • Alien Xenomorph – Standard and Metallic
  • Captain Malcolm Reynolds
  • Judge Dredd
  • Robby The Robot
  • Tron – Standard and Glow-In-The-Dark
  • Jayne Cobb
  • Mars Attacks Martian

The Rocketeer and the Martian are the hardest figures to get, coming in at 1/72 chance, while Jayne Cobb is next in line at 1/36 chance. Ah, the joy and frustration of blind boxed items. Look for the figures to hit in September. See the images, including a full rarity breakdown, after the jump.

Howard the Duck Pop Vinyl

Funko is wasting no time with the Marvel Pop! Vinyls. Again, this can be considered a Spoiler for Guardians of the Galaxy, but it’s been out a month and has saturated every fabric of the net. I apologize in advance if you’ve managed to steer clear of this nugget. Ryan Penagos, Executive Editorial Director of Marvel Digital Media, tweeted out the first photo of an upcoming Howard the Duck Pop! Vinyl Figure. It’s not based on the 80′s movie, but on the actual comic character/Guardians of the Galaxy stinger appearance.

Check it out after the jump.

Back to the Future Marty McFly ReAction Figure

Figure King Magazine will have an exclusive Back to the Future Marty McFly ReAction Figure. Issue number 199 comes with a Back to the Future Marty McFly with Einstein (Doc Brown’s dog) ReAction Figure on a Japanese language cardback. Hobby Search, who sold out of the issue, has posted a photo.

Dancing Groot Pop Vinyl

Potential Spoilers, but if you haven’t seen it at this point, then sorry. Well, even if you haven’t seen Guardians of the Galaxy, you have likely seen or heard about the Dancing Groot. It’s one of the most talked about and wonderful moments from a supremely enjoyable film. Fans have been begging for some type of toy or collectible and Funko has stepped up. Ryan Penagos, Executive Editorial Director of Marvel Digital Media, tweeted out the first pic of the Guardians of the Galaxy – Dancing Groot Pop! Vinyl Figure. Details are due out this week for release and more.

Funko ReAction Figures

It looks like the folks at NECA have started an action figure revolution when they introduced NES style recolors. Those NES themed ideas have been “borrowed” by more than few companies. Now, it looks like Funko is getting in on the act. They recently posted up a photo that shows off a bunch of the upcoming ReAction Figures.

Within the picture, we see a few new, previously unannounced, figures. These include a Jason Voorhees NES Version, a Freddy Krueger NES Version and a Glow-In-The-Dark Creature From The Black Lagoon (not NES themed, but new). This is the first evidence that they are doing NES style figures. Also in the picture we get a look at additional Horror Series ReAction Figures and the Firefly ReAction Figures.

Apparently, the NES variants are exclusive to Toy Tokyo.
