Earlier this week, we shared news that MattyCollector would be shutting down and that Masters of the Universe was going to Super 7. At the time, details were sketchy on what that actually meant, but we now have an official update. H. Eric Mayse of Four Horsemen has posted an update on their his Facebook Page. Word had been making the rounds that Super 7 and Four Horsemen will continue to bring fans Masters of the Universe Classics figures, and that is officially confirmed! The fate of Thundercats, is still a little tricky. Here’s the message:
Now we can say it…
YES! Four Horsemen Toy Design and Super 7 are going to be working together to continue Masters of the Universe Classics. You can all take a deep breath and relax now. Lol. It might take us a bit to get all of our ducks in a row, but we’re all working very hard to make this happen.
As for Thundercats? Four Horsemen and Super 7 are both VERY interested in working together to continue that as well, but those logistics are a little more complicated than MotU Classics. We’re pushing for it to happen, but that’s all we can really reveal for now. Please be patient and we’ll let you know as soon as we have something more solid to announce.
We’ll continue to update as more info becomes available.
Four Horsemen had a fantastic display of their Mythic Legions and Mythic Legions Avian Warriors at San Diego Comic-Con 2016.
Last week, the Mythic Legions 6″ Scale Figures went up for pre-order. You can still grab them by Clicking Here. IF you missed it, we had a bunch of photos from their excellent Toy Fair 2016 display. The Four Horsemen have released a few new images of the upcoming figures. Here’s what’s new:
People have had questions about the scale of the Mythic Legions Forest Troll and Stone Troll, as well as other questions. Soooo we’re just gonna let the pics do the talking.
Also, a couple of reveals here as well. Not only the first look at the enormous mace that is going to come with the Forest Troll, but also – because fans requested it – the extra skull heads that are going to come with the Ilgarr and Pixxus figures!
Read on to see the photos.
At Toy Fair 2016, we got a chance to check out the excellent Mythic Legions figures by Four Horsemen. These 6″ scale figure feature a wide variety of medieval style warriors. At 3:00 PM EST, pre-orders open for the Mythic Legion 1.5 Assortment at Shop Four Horsemen. More details direct from 4H:
Just a reminder that the StoreHorsemen.com pre-orders for the next group of Mythic Legions figures (ML1.5) will begin tomorrow – Friday February 26th – at 3:00pm EST. We’re going to run this pre-order until Monday, March 14th at 3:00pm EST, so that only gives you a couple of weeks to get your orders in for this pre-order release. Depending on the amount of pre-orders we get, there may be some up for sale through Store Horsemen again once the figures are in stock, but if there are, we don’t expect there to by too many, so pre-ordering now is your best bet to get the characters you want before they’re gone.
We apologize for the short pre-order time period, but we’re trying to get these pre-orders done and get the final orders in to the factory so that they can be finished and shipped to us in time for the figures to make their debut at the 2016 Power Con in June. It’s going to be tight, but it’s a good possibility that we can do it. The two trolls may take slightly longer, but we’re going to have them finished as well. Fingers crossed.
In the current images we have, the Forest Troll isn’t shown with a weapon. Rest assured that he will come with a huge spiked mace, and as soon as we have new photos of him with that, we’ll be posting them. Some of the other images are also shown with different weapons than were shown at the 2016 Toy Fair. The figures that were shown at Toy Fair a couple weeks ago depict a more accurate representation of the weapons they will each have.
It’s time to begin expanding the Legions. Tomorrow is your chance to start. Don’t miss out!
You will be able to pre-order by Clicking Here. We’ll bump this back up when pre-orders go live. Check out a few images by reading on.

The Four Horsemen have launched a new Kickstarter for their next action figure line. After the success of their Raven’s, they are planning a new 6″ scale line known as the Mythic Legions. These fantasy themed figures will come with approximately 30 points of articulation, and will span the gamut of crazy and awesome looking character designs. Here’s a bit more info directly from the Kickstarter:
What Is Mythic Legions
Mythic Legions is a breathtaking new fantasy world of action figures created by the award winning Four Horsemen Studios. The action figure line consists of an endless variety of characters ranging from heroic knights and dwarves to evil orcs and skeleton soldiers. Interchangeable parts and accessories give fans the chance to create and build their very own custom characters. These exquisitely detailed and highly articulated figures also offer collectors the opportunity to build the legions of warriors that they have always dreamed of. Mythic Legions finally brings limitless possibilities to the world of premium quality fantasy action figures.
Our team has spent almost two years and hundreds of hours of meticulously sculpting, fabricating, and painting to create the spectacular prototypes for this line. This project is a passion project for all of us here at Four Horsemen Studios.
These will be 6” scaled figures. For example, knights and skeletons will come in at approximately 6.5″ tall while dwarves will be shorter.
Most figures have 30 points of articulation
Each figure is fully accessorized and ready for battle
Interchangeable heads and armor pieces allow for simple mix-and-match customizing
The regular edition figures have intricate paint schemes that complement the meticulously sculpted details.
Legion builder figures with simpler paint schemes provide an affordable way to bolster your legions.
They have an initial goal of $140,000. Pledges to get individual figures range from $30 – $45 for US delivery. For $515, you get all 16 initial releases, which comes out to about $32 per figure. You can check out and contribute to the Mythic Legions Kickster by Clicking Here.
Four Horsemen have posted some great news for fans awaiting the Gothitropolis: Ravens. It looks like all the kinks have been ironed out and the figures should be leaving the factory in just under a month, with the Kickstarter backers receiving them after they arrive at 4H. That should take 6-8 weeks once shipped from the factory. They also plan to start offering Ravens pre-orders beginning September 15th at 3:00 PM EST.
