DC Collectibles Animated line of figures launched a couple years ago and has continued to drop gems. The Batman and Robin figures, Joker and Harley, the Batmobile and Batwing all are figure perfection. I have personally slowed down with the line and am grabbing only the ones that hit the right notes for my collection, and today’s gallery was one of them. The Batman Beyond 3 Pack features animated styled Terry McGinnis, old Bruce Wayne and his guard dog Ace. All three feature their look from the cartoon which is captured perfectly by DC Collectibles modern Animated figure style and technology. As with anything new the Beyond arc wasn’t originally accepted by all; however, the suit, story, and characters from this show have endured and are now awesomely represented by this set. Update – one piece of info we got but were unable to relay during the show due to the craziness of the day – DC Films figures have been cancelled. All of them. The only ones that will exist are the ones that just came out – Armored Batman and Superman from DoJ. This was due to the fact that many of DC’s partners do similar things in similar scales and it was hard to stand out to retailers needing to make decisions on purchasing. The decided to pull back and let their partners do their thing. Some may work themselves in via different lines later on, but the full “DC Films” line as it was presented at Toy Fair 2016 is not happening.

Well, you can’t have Armored Batman without Superman, right? Our gallery today takes a look at the second DC Films figure – Superman from Dawn of Justice. Like Armored Batman, Superman stands in the 7 inch scale and features all the key points. Great sculpt, above average articulation at all the right points, solid paint, multiple heads and hands, accessories. On paper, it’s a perfect figure. DC Collectibles have launched another sub-line in their array of DC themed action figures. This time it’s called DC Films and will focus on, you guessed it, characters from the DC Extended Universe movies. These are higher end 7 inch figures and feature above average articulation, paint, sculpt and materials. They’re meant to fill that void we have here in the states that usually forces us to import lines such as Mafex, Revoltech and S.H. Figuarts. But not quite as high end as the Mezco One:12 figures. Right there in the middle. They’ve shown off a ton already from Man of Steel, Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, but there have been reshuffles and cancellations since then. For now, the first two are out, and what comes after that, and when, is unknown. Today we’ll take a look at the first entry – Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice Armored Batman. It’s a beast of a figure, towering over standard 7 inch scale figures. Read on to check out over 50 images courtesy of site sponsor Entertainment Earth!
The Flash and Arrow TV shows from DC have been great, giving us an alternate extended universe before the movies could get it going for themselves. Supergirl moved into the universe and DC Legends of Tomorrow took all the side characters and made them their own stars. DC Collectibles have been pumping out figures to compliment them for a bit, and today we’re looking at a recent release of the two main characters, Flash and Arrow in one box set. I haven’t jumped into the TV lines much personally but wanted a representation of the shows on the shelves and figured this would be the perfect chance.
