first last of the initial wave of Action Toys modern era Machine Robo figures is finally in hand. Bike Robo – aka Cy-Kill from the Go-Bots – is actually labeled #1 in the series but released after the other 3 in the wave due to last minute retooling. He captures the Revenge of Chronos anime look well, not sporting the angry face he’s known for in Go-Bots animation. Finally, an updated Leader-1 and Cy-Kill are available to tuck into your Transformers (or Go-Bots) line up. Head on in after the break to check over 30 in-hand images courtesy of Big Bad Toy Store!

We are capping off our look at the rebirth of Machine Robo (aka Go-Bots) today with a look at Rod Drill aka Screwhead! Rod Drill is another character that had some exposure here in the States and children of the 80’s probably remember. He’s a bit smaller than the rest but packs a ton of articulation into his little frame. He comes packed with pile driver weapons and one of those awesome configurable bases. Let’s take a closer look after the break courtesy of Big Bad Toy Store!
Next up in our look at the modern relaunch of the Japanese Go-Bots (aka Machine Robo) is Battle Robo, aka Tank from the Go-Bots line. Battle Robo keeps his short and stocky nature, his pyramid like head piece and fold over transformation, all while upgrading to today’s articulation and sculpting standards. He features a mix of plastic and die cast, paint where it counts, and removable weapons. While not as iconic as Leader-1 or Cy-Kill, Tank is someone many kids from the 80s remember. Let’s take a closer look after the break courtesy of Big Bad Toy Store!
Action Toys has jumped into the game pretty quick with their take on the classic Machine Robo series. Machine Robo for those that may not know, is the toyline that spawned the Go-Bots here in America. Leader-1, Cy-Kill and the rest all came from Machine Robo, remixed into the Go-Bots toyline with a new cartoon for the US. The original cartoon in Japan was very different, and it’s later series Revenge of Chronos was as well.
The Action Toys figures come from the anime Revenge of Chronos only, but luckily many of our favorites are in there too. To start, they have released 4 bots – Eagle Robo (Leader 1), Bike Robo (Cy-Kill), Battle Robo (Tank), and Rod Drill (Screw Head). Today we begin taking a closer look with #03 Eagle Robo (Leader-1). Head on in after the break to check over 50 in-hand images courtesy of Big Bad Toy Store!

- Bike Robo (Cy-Kill)
- Rod Drill (Screwhead)
- Eagle Robo (Leader-1)
- Battle Robo (Tank)
The figures are available for pre-order now. Read on to check out the images.
