Back in May, Mattel announced that they were going to send a special gift to those that subscribed to the Ghostbusters Club. The club and subscriptions were canceled, and to reward those that tried to support it, they created an exclusive Slimer figure. Toyark forum members are noting that they have begun receiving shipping notices for the Slimer figure. Keep your eye open for the notices and enjoy the figure!

Mattel is sending a letter out to people who had subscribed to the, now canceled, Ghostbusters Subscription Plan. When the plan was caneled, the Ecto-1 that was supposed to be a part of the plan was yanked from the schedule. As an apology, Mattel is planning on sending those who subscribed a freebie as a thank you. That freebie is a Ghostbusters: 2.5″ Glow-In-The-Dark Slimer.

The Ghostbusters Terr Dog Mini-Statue has been released. Art Asylum has the details:
Ghostbusters: Terror Dog Light-Up Mini-Statue
A Diamond Select Release! The hit Ghostbusters statue line continues with a fierce Terror Dog! Standing guard on the roof of 55 Central Park West in Manhattan for nearly 60 years, Zuul the Gatekeeper and Vinz Clortho the Keymaster awaited the return of their master, Gozer the Gozerian. When the time grew near, they shed their stone shells and descended into the building below to possess human hosts and bring about the end of the world at the hands of the Destructor. Luckily, the Ghostbusters were there to stop them! Standing 7″ tall with a Ghostbusters logo-adorned base, this statue will shine brightly in your room or office until Doomsday. (Stock up on batteries.) SRP: $70.00

Art Asylum has released the first info and a few pics for their upcoming Ghostbusters Gozer’s Terror Dog Statue.
“OK, so, she’s a dog.” While not Dana Barret’s finest moment, we all fondly remember the time when the two dogs perched on either side of the steps waiting for the arrival of Gozer. Now, Diamond Select Toys is giving you the chance to recreate that moment in your home with the Ghostbusters “Terror Dog” light-up statue. Here are some in-progress pictures, including the finished Bill Mancuso sculpt, and the great job painter Jason Wires did of capturing the look of the beast. As of this writing, the factory is getting the electronics finalized, but since I was blogging anyway, I thought I’d share a shot of the light-up feature taken for review purposes. Enjoy!

Art Asylum has revealed new Ghostbusters Mini-Statues of the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man and the Statue of Liberty. The statues stands at 7″ tall and lights up.
“100 feet of angry marshmallow mascot can really ruin your day. Luckily we at DST have shrunk the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man down to a much more manageable size — 7 inches! Not only that, our mini-statue version lights up, to add a pleasing glow to your collection at night. Isn’t that much nicer than stepping on churches? Check out out new in-package pictures below, plus a pic of the upcoming Statue of Liberty light-up statue! Look for Mr. Stay-Puft in July and Miss Liberty in October!“

MattyCollector has posted an updated release schedule for their Ghostbusters line. The schedule list all the releases from June – October.
Thanks to you, loyal Ghostbusters fans, it’s been the line’s best year yet and it ain’t over yet! I’ve got great things planned for 2011, 2012 and beyond so you’ve got a lot to look forward to.
Now about the release schedule… Because the team wanted to do right by our Winston Zeddemore with Slime Blower figure, it made the schedules to slip a bit. But never fear… there will definitely be a total of six subscription figures released throughout 2011, plus, of course, the seventh: the Club-exclusive Marshmallow Mess Ray figure that shipped to subscribers in March! At press time, here’s what’s coming and when through October:
Ghostbusters 6″ Winston Zeddemore w/ Slime Blower
with Tripod Trap (Club Ecto-1 figure)
Ghostbusters 2 Movie Masters® Mega Figures 2-Pack with
12″ Winston Zeddemore & Peter Venkman
July 20 at SDCC
Ghostbusters SDCC 22″ Stay Puft Figure
Ghostbusters 6″ “Ready to Believe You” Egon Spengler
w/Library Ghost (Club Ecto-1 Fig)
Ghostbusters 6″ Ray Stantz with Cinema Ghost (Club Ecto-1 Fig)
Ghostbusters 2 Movie Masters® Mega Figures 2-Pack
with 12″ Ray Stantz & Egon Spengler
Something you’ve been waiting for that I can’t announce yet!
We still have one Ghostbusters 6″ Club Ecto-1 figure to reveal for 2011. That figure will ship in December and be revealed at SDCC along with the first 2012 figure! Just keep in mind that like what happened with our original Zeddemore sale date, various issues (like a potential fourth reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants or a mass sponge migration, for example) can cause things to get switched up so the schedule isn’t final until, well, it’s final. I’ll be sure to keep you updated because there are tons more great toys coming!
