Maximum Carnage Fine Art Statue 001

After a sneak peek photo earlier this week, Kotobukiya has unleashed their Maximum Carnage Fine Art Statue gallery. The statue is 1/6 scale. Carnage will feature a detailed destruction base and include a swappable right arm. Additional details are being kept under wraps for now, but we do know that the Maximum Carnage Statue will ship in June 2015.

Vitruvian H A C K S Eldest Gorgon Sister Stheno 1

Boss Fight Studio has posted a new preview image. It gives us a look at the hardcopy prototype of their Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. Eldest Gorgon Sister Stheno. We saw the control art for the figure way back in April, when the art for Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. Wave 1 was previewed.

Hot Toys X Men DOFP Wolverine Scan 002

Thanks to Toyark forum member Tiberius, we have a magazine scan showing that Hot toys will be making a new Wolverine 1/6 Scale Figure. The new version will be based on his “future” appearance in X-Men: Days of Future Past. A larger page scan comes courtesy of the Hot Toys Community, showcases the full page display.

SH Monsterarts Gamera 007

This one slipped by us late last week. Tamashii Nations has put up product page for an upcoming SH Monsterarts Gamera. This particulat figure is based on his appearance in the 1996 Heisei series movie Gamera 2: Advent of Legion. The classic Kaiju comes in with a stunning looking sculpt, a ton of articulation and numerous accessories. You will be able to display Gamera in either standing or flight poses with the included figure stand. Accessories include a fireball effect, a fire display base, figure stand for the effect or flying Gamera, and interchangeable flight pieces. The chest can be opened up to simulate his plasma attack as well. Gamera comes in at 150MM, which is about 5.5″ tall.

The SH Monsterarts Gamera is scheduled for release in January 2015. It is priced at 9,504 Yen (about $89 USD). See the full gallery by reading on.

Metal Gear Solid V Model Kit Figure Set 006

Check out this awesome set of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes 1/35 Scale Model Kit Figures. Kotobukiya is releasing these and they include non-poseable mini figures for a few of the characters from the game. Each figure stands at 50MM tall (about 2″). Included are multiple versions of Naked Snake, Skull Face, Chico, and assorted Marines. Also included are some interchangeable weapons and accessories.

The figures in the pics are hand painted prototypes. So the final versions may vary when released. The set will sell for 3,200 Yen (about $29 USD) and is scheduled for release in January 2015. You can check out the images by reading on.

Bandai Hobby Star Wars Darth Vader Model Kit 2

Bandai Hobby has posted up a few official images and new info for their newly revealed Star Wars Plastic Model Kits. These model kits range from characters to vehicles and the new pics include:

  • Darth Vader
  • Stormtrooper
  • X-Wing
  • TIE Fighter

Bandai’s big Gundam reveal at the All Japan Model and Hobby Show this year was a new Perfect Grade 1/60 RX-0 Unicorn Gundam, and a highly detailed LED lighting set for the kit that’ll make it a showstopper in any collection! The lighting set features a total of 30 LEDs-29 for the Psycoframe and an additional one for the camera eye.

The Latest Scale Model News from the All Japan Model & Hobby Show 2014
Large-scale aircraft builders all over the world rejoiced when Tamiya announced its amazingly detailed “bubble top” 1/32 Vought F4U-1 Corsair, as a follow-up to last year’s release of the “Birdcage” version of this iconic aircraft! At the other end of the size scale, Tamiya’s 1/35 German Jagdpanzer IV (70) Lang joins their Military Miniatures lineup in November, and the 1/48 German 6 Wheeler truck Kfz.69 3.7cm Antitank Gun Towers will be released later this month.

Vinyl Jumbo Lion Voltron 4

Toynami has posted a few new photos of their upcoming 24″ Jumbo Vinyl Lion Voltron Figure. The retro style jumbo figure featuring spring loaded, launching fists as well as wheeled feet. This limited edition release will sell for $250. It is expected to be released in March 2015.

He Man Mixed Media Statue Preview

Also in this weeks Pop Culture Shock newsletter was a preview of a second He-Man Statue. This 1/4 Scale He-Man will be a mixed media statue. They mention that this will not be on hand at New York Comic-Con, presumably because it’s still early in the design phase. The preview image shows off an early, in-progress, 3D sculpt.
