Word is starting to hit that pre-orders for the Toony Terrors video game appearance versions of Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees have been cancelled by NECA. Special thanks to @elimcfly88, who shared an email on Instagram detailing the cancellation (see below). The figures, which would have given a NES makeover to their 6″ scale cartoon style Jason and Freddy, were revealed just a few days ago. NECA has removed all mention of the figures from their website, Facebook page, Twitter account and Instagram page. As you may recall, due to ongoing issues with both the Friday the 13th and A Nightmare On Elm Street licenses, there was to be a hold put on new Freddy and Jason merchandise. Randy Falk of NECA had said that these were designed and approved back in Summer 2018. Sadly, it appears as if that wasn’t enough to get these onto shelves.
