Much like the Extreme Gas Station, this set features a massive scale display along with some impressive engineering to bring your scenes to life. The Elevator Hallway Dio includes four wall panels with working doors, two smaller wall panels, three floor pieces, and a full elevator with working doors. Each of the main wall panels are 20″ long by 12″ high, and work perfectly for 6″ scale to 8″ scale figures. The set is available now from Extreme Sets and is priced at $44.99. Overall
The Elevator Hallway Set is a really versatile display piece from Extreme Sets. There’s a nice mix of pieces here to create a wide variety of hotel hallway style displays. Using the elevator is optional, but it offers a great bit of extra depth to the display. The wall panels here are the standard size we’ve seen from previous sets. At 20″ in length, and 12″ tall, they offer a nice large display area for photography or shelf display. The fully functional doors are a nice touch, and displaying items behind the doors gets some added realism to the display. Printing is clean and sharp, and the panels all have just the right amount of weathering to offer an old, but not quite run down hotel look. Three floor panels are included with a parquet rug look. They look great, but have a slight bit of warping to them. I was able to mostly flatten them out prior to shooting the gallery here.
The real star of this display is the elevator itself. It’s a full box elevator that comes in two pieces. One piece for the exterior of the elevator, and another than slips inside to form a fully realized elevator interior. Two doors slide into the side panels and hide behind the walls to offer full open and close functionality. I was really impressed with the though process that went into bringing this to life, as it compliments the set very well. You can open up the top of the elevator to allow some extra light to shine through for photography.
On the whole, this is another solid release from Extreme Sets. The included pieces offer up some great display possibilities. The functional elevator steals the show here, and works with a number of potential shoots. I can see a lot of these pieces making their way into my future photo shoots for sure. Check out some select photos below and the full gallery after that.
