Mega Man X NXEDGE STYLE X and Zero Figures by Tamashii Nations
Pros
- Good sculpts
- Great articulation
- Easy to swap out parts
- Nice figure stand
Cons
- Some joints are a bit loose
Overall
The figure come packaged in collector friendly window boxes. The figures and accessories sit on plastic trays. Each figure includes a full articulated figure stand and instructions. X includes swap out hands, two blaster effects pieces, and a dash effects piece. Zero includes multiple interchangeable hands, a swap out Zero Buster arm, and a Z-Saber with standard and in-motion blades.
The figures both have excellent looking sculpts that do a nice job of bringing these video game characters to life. Paint work is minimal, but clean. The lines for the faces are clean and sharp, and there’s no issues with color bleeds to misaligned apps. The figures are highly articulated with great range of motion. There’s a number of extra points of articulation, such as the multiple jointed shoulders. Zero even has articulated hair. The thinner arms and leg pieces have no problems supporting the weight of the larger forearms and lower legs. The figures use easy snap on connection joints allowing you to easily swap out hands and arms. This style, though, does lead to some of the joints being a little too loose. While the figure can easily hold poses, when trying to use any of the heavier blaster effects pieces, you will need to incorporate the included stand. The stands themselves are versatile, with plenty of options for using with the figures or the blast effects.
There’s a lot to like about these figures. With great sculpts, solid articulation and lots of interchangeable parts, there are plenty of ways to display the figures. These two are in stores now. Check out some select photos below and the full gallery after that.
