The Realization line from Bandai Tamashii Nations is an alt-verse exploration of modern sci-fi and super hero characters done up in Samurai times. The Movie Realization line for Star Wars has been stellar, with lots of Troopers, Boba Fett and Vader. They’ve expanded the concept to the Manga Realization line, which features Marvel characters. Today we are taking a look at Iron Man and his Koutetsu Samurai Iron Man Mk 3. This is a crazy re-imagining of Iron Man with Samurai armor and even some steampunk inspired blasters and a jetpack. We’ve done up a gallery to show off what he can do so read on to check it out!
Bandai Tamashii Nations Marvel Manga Realization Koutetsu Samurai Iron Man Mk 3
Overall
This figure worked better than I thought it would. For some reason, the Samurai/Star Wars angle just works. All of them so far have been great. When they announced Marvel, I wasn’t as hyped. In hand though, the Iron Man aspect works. Mixed with the steampunk styling for his blasters and jetpack, it’s a funky unique Iron Man that stands out on a Marvel shelf. You could see Tony Stark being bored one day and actually making this in modern times. Construction wise it’s similar to the other Realization figures to date, with high end paint, great sculpting and layered armor. At a beefy 7 inches tall, they feel significant in hand and have a great presence on the shelves. Not sure if I will go all in on Marvel after this, but this one is a solid pick up!
