In 2005, a new Predator video game was released for the Playstation 2 and Xbox. The game, called Predator: Concrete Jungle, received a lot of mixed to negative reviews when released. Despite this, the game gained an audience among Predator fans for it’s great Predator design, its interesting story and brutal attacks. The main character is Scarface Predator, a disgraced Yautja, exiled by his clan for 100 years. When gangs start to use highly advanced weaponry on Earth, his clan offers his a chance at redemption by taking out the gangs and recovering the Yautja technology.
NECA has commemorated the Scarface Predator with a new Ultimate style figure. Coming in a box designed after the video game packaging, and including weapons, accessories and interchangeable parts, Scarface looks to carve a spot out in your Predator collection. NECA has provided us with the figure to share our thoughts and a first look gallery. Read on for over 65 high resolution photos and our review.

Overall
The figure comes packaged in the fan favorite Ultimate flapped window box. The design features artwork and design elements from the original PS2 and Xbox game packaging. The back of the box showcases the figure itself and more artwork from the game packaging as well as a synopsis for the story. The interior flap has additional photos of the figure. Scarface Predator sits on the plastic tray with a few twist ties holding it in place. A backdrop dio is included, featuring a small scene from Neonopolis, the fictional city from the game. The packaging is eye-catching with nice nods to the original box design.
Scarface Predator includes wrist blades, a spear gun, a massive maul blade, interchangeable masked and unmasked heads, a plasmacaster and an interchangeable right hand. The gauntlet on the left arm featuring a panel that opens. The figure stands well over 8″ tall and has over 30 points of articulation. The body used is the updated Predator body style, which has both double jointed knees and elbows. Joints are solid throughout, with no paint pocking issues and no loose joints at all. The head sculpts and right hand both swap out without any trouble. No heat was required when swapping out the parts, which is always a plus. The figure features newly sculpted pieces, such as the detailed game-inspired armor, mask and weapons. Paint apps are handled well, with very clean paint lines. The figure includes the usual multi-color paint washes to bring out the fine sculpted details on the figure and armor. The unmasked head sculpt features an especially nice paint transition from yellow to dark brown. The bright yellow colors of the Predator contrast nicely against the dark metallic armor and weapons. A few nice splashes of red round it out.
While I wasn’t a huge fan of the original game, I do like how NECA approached the design here. The figure has some excellent details, such as the skulls on the shoulder and belt. The two weapons are nice additions to the Predator arsenal, with very different designs that would feel at home in the Kenner homage waves. Of note, the spear gun features three spears on the front of the gun, which turned out to be a little fragile. Two of the spears snapped off as I was taking the gun out of the plastic tray. The Maul blade is a massive double edged sword with a handle on the edge, allowing Scarface two swing it and spin the blade for some great looking attack poses. Range of motion is great here. double jointed knees and elbows allow for more dynamic poses. The armor around the hips is a little tight, but I loosened the whole are up with a hair dryer and was able to get a full range of movements from the hips.
In the end, this is a fantastic figure that has a great original look, nice weapons and strong attention to detail. The updated Predator body combined with interchangeable parts and good paints apps should really please Predator action figure collectors.
