NECA revisits and updates another classic figure with their newest Ultimate 7″ Scale Figure. Joining the T-800, Sarah Connor and the first T-1000 is the Terminator 2: Judgement Day – Motorcycle Cop T-1000 Ultimate 7″ Scale Figure! This upcoming release features Robert Patrick’s T-1000 in his motorcycle cop gear, complete with sunglasses and motorcycle helmet. It features updated articulation, two alternate head sculpts, interchangeable hands, weapons and a surprise, never announced accessory! The Motorcycle Cop T-1000 is packaged in their T2 style flapped window box, allowing it to fit in perfectly with the previous T2 Ultimate Figures on our shelf.
The Ultimate Motorcycle Cop T-1000 doesn’t ship out until next month, and should be available in stores mid to late December. It could potentially hit the NECA Ebay and Amazon stores at the end of this month. NECA was gracious enough to give Toyark the very first look at the finalized figure. We have over 65 high resolution photos and a review to check out. Read on to see them.
Terminator 2: Judgement Day – Motorcycle Cop T-1000 Ultimate 7″ Scale Figure
- Surprise John Connor photo accessory
- Lots of other fun accessories
- Can exchange parts and accessories with previous Ultimate T-1000
- Excellent paint apps
- Great sculpt and articulation
Like the other Terminator 2 Ultimate Figures, the box here has the same style and design. It’s a mostly black flapped window box with blue steel color highlights throughout. It has a photo of Robert Patrick as the T-1000 on the front and photos of the figure on the back and interior flap. A cardboard dio backdrop is included, similar to the Cyberdyne building backdrop included with the T-800. the figure is held onto the tray with a single twist tie. Behind the plastic tray, in a small baggie, you will find the John Connor photo accessory. The overall packaging works well, and I’m glad they’ve kept all of the T2 Ultimate Figures in similar boxes. Makes displaying them on a shelf together feel like a cohesive line.
The Motorcycle Cop T-1000 is based on their original figure released in 2011. They’ve updated the sculpt with a newly articulated lower body. This includes new hip joints, the addition of single jointed knees, swivel joints at the boots and articulated ankles. The upper body appears to have the same articulation as the original figure. Added up, there are over 25 points of articulation here. While I always like double jointed elbows, the single jointed elbows here have a good range of motion, so it was much less bothersome. The sculpt remains strong here, with a lot of fine trexture details on the clothing. The head sculpts each look fantastic. NECA did a great job capturing the likeness of actor Robert Patrick and the detailed paint apps are handled nicely. Joints were all tight, but never paint locked. The interchangeable parts all swapped out easily enough. I did use a little heat for the right hand as well as the battle damaged head. Nothing major, but the sockets on those were just a little tight and the heat helps to speed up the swapping out process. On the whole, the figure looks excellent and matches up perfectly with the other T2 figures.
Speaking of parts and accessories, there are a ton of them. NECA included two additional head sculpts. The main head sculpt used the motorcycle helmet and sunglasses. The second is a regular head sculpt, which is very similar to the one included with the previous Ultimate T-1000. The third head sculpt is a split open battle damaged head. Also included are two extended blade finger hands, a bladed arm, two additional hands, a pistol and a machine gun. As an added bonus, the T-1000 includes a surprise accessory. NECA included a small photo of John Connor that was given to him by John’s foster parents, Todd and Janelle. The great thing here, is you can mix and match all of these accessories with the previous T-1000 for a crazy amount of looks. I was even able to add one of the head sculpts to the Terminator: Genisys T-1000 body, essentially giving me three Ultimate T-1000 figures. With all of the accessories included, the figure lives up to the Ultimate designation for sure.
There’s a lot to love here. It’s different enough from the previous Ultimate T-1000 to make it worth having both figures. The look represents some iconic scenes from the film, leading up to his liquid nitrogen freezing. The new articulation is a welcome addition, the sculpt is excellent and the paint apps are clean. All it needs is a 1/10 scale motorcycle to go with it. You can check out some highlight photos below and the full gallery after that.
