Medicom’s Mafex line has been putting out higher end movie based DC figures since the Dark Knight Trilogy, one of the only ways to get that upper end action figure experience for the characters. Recently more companies are in the game, but Mafex is still dropping heat. Their Batman v Superman figures have begun hitting state side and we’ll take a look at Batman (standard) and Superman today. Armored Batman, Knightmare Batman and Wonder Woman are coming down the road. Head on in for over 55 pics of them showing off their goods courtesy of Entertainment Earth!

Overall
I wound up having a love/hate relationship with these guys by the time I was done shooting. They look great. Detail, paint, articulation, accessories are all on point – above average or great. One thing killed it for me though – the joints are loose. These things fell over almost non stop. Get a good pose, tip. Get a good pose and he stays, great – adjust cape, legs give out, tip. Even the stands were loose. Tightening stand joints helped a bit, but not fully. Superman more so than Batman, but both had the issue. When I was done, got them on shelf, legs gave out a day later and dominoed my DC figs. So now they’re in a box till I can figure what to do with em where they won’t cause chaos. Bottom line – if you tighten the stand first then display them with it at ground level, they’ll be some fantastic pieces.
