After the success of their Alien Egg Carton, NECA is now offering a new variant. The newly released Alien Eggs Carton featuring glow-in-the-dark Eggs and Facehuggers. In the pack, like the original, you get three open Eggs, three sealed Eggs and three Facehuggers. If the glow versions look familiar, it’s because a special 4-pack was included with an Aliens Themed Lootcrate in May. The eggs are scaled to work with the NECA 7″ scale Aliens figures.
We grabbed the new Glow-in-the-Dark Alien Egg Carton from toyark sponsor Dorkside Toys. We have over 35 high resolution images to check out, as well as a review.

Overall
There’s not much new to say for the Alien Eggs from NECA. If you’re a fan of the Aliens line, you likely have some of the original Eggs in your collection. The packaging here is very reminiscent of the original, with the colors changed to black and green to differentiate them from the original carton. There are six Eggs in total inside the carton, with the three open Eggs housing the included Facehuggers. The little creatures come in small plastic bags to keep them from bouncing around in transit.
The Eggs and Facehuggers are pretty much exactly the same as the ones included in the Lootcrate. If you missed out on those, then this a great second chance to grab them, with the added bonus of getting six Eggs instead of four. Here’s what I said about the glow in the dark Eggs and Facehuggers when I reviewed the Aliens Lootcrate:
The NECA Alien Eggs have a very light paint scheme (compared to the original eggs), with off whites, grays and pinks used. The included Facehuggers are mostly white. Both the eggs and Facehuggers have a slightly dark wash over them to bring out the details. You’d never be able to tell these were glow in the dark, as they don’t exhibit the translucent green usually seen on these items.
You can pick up the set now, as it is in stock at Dorkside and has begun to hit other online retailers as well. Check out some hilight photos below and the full gallery after that.
